I run 3 days a week. 2 of those days are interval training on a treadmill and 1 day consists of a 5-6mile run in central park.

Running (especially outdoor running) is stressful on the joints. Good idea not to do it every day without proper exercise and diet to strengthen the muscles and joints in your lower body.

I usually run at least 3 miles a day Monday through Friday (sometimes Saturday) then walk the final half a mile or so back to my apartment to rest/cool down

I have really flat feet + ankle injuries from football, so i cant run very long distances before it starts getting irritating. PLus i just dont like running long distance anyways. However i dont mind running on trails and ish like that, but if you get me on a track

I stick to playing basketball and/or sprinting some 110's on the track. Any other long duration cardio is done on eliptical or treadmil (walking)

Man I have the same exact issue just throwing bad knees as well from playing running back. What I do now is ride a bike. I ride my bike every where.

I love swimming but their isn't any sanitary pools in my area. I rather ride my bike than swim in piss.

If you wanna looseweight, 45mns is not enough...from 0 to 45mns, all you gonna loose is water, and get it back the minute after...so you have to run MORE than 45mns, an hour at the very least...if you wanna save your knees, don't run more than 1-2 times a week, especially if you're running on concrete...sand can be good if you got a beach close-by...

To be honest I have no idea if a threadmill is more "knee gentle" than concrete is...so I don't wanna tell you no bullsh*t.

Running on the treadmill is bad for your knees. Jogging is also bad for them. Sprints are better.

I've lost weight ever since I made this thread, I jog for 5 days straight then I take 1 week off, I have a weight training class in college so I use that as a gym, I'm not in the best shape cause of what I eat whatever tho at last I'm not obese, I never was but I had some pounds to lose.

By the way I've been running outside ever since I was in 8th grade, I haven't had any injuries. By the way 45 minutes was my old mark, now I can last for about 1 hr and 30 minutes

Absolutely. Minus legs days. Better to use bike or stairmaster. Don't wanna stress out your knees too much.
