What do you guys think? I'm not really one of those guys that care about being muscular and whatnot, I just want to know if Jogging heavily everyday is a good idea to live a healthy life style. I know food choices are essential parts of being healthy but I'm not really good at that department, I mean It's not like I eat fast food everyday, just on the weekendsimage I started doing this 1 week ago, since then I haven't stopped doing it, surprisingly I don't need to take supplements to keep me energized throughout my jogs, I just do it naturally without any of that.

I usually run a solid 20-25 minutes, after i row for 15-20. When i have time ill do squats, dips, abs, and a variable exercise depending on my timeframe. Defintily helped me loose weight. Now starting to see some defintion!

Jogging is an excellent form of exercise. I run 4-5 miles a day and I try to run about 5 times per week. No doubt it takes a toll on your body. I love running outside. Something about it is calming to me.

i cant run for too long tho, bc it hurts my knees.

but if you feel fine, then yeah go for it bro.


**i would say if you are gonna run everyday dont run too fast, just a moderate pace so steps are easier on your joints

Honestly jogging outside consistently was the best thing I ever did for weight loss. For me, I'm not sure why and maybe it really wasn't a difference but it seemed like the weight came off quicker when I would do consistent cardio outside, as opposed to consistent cardio at the gym.

well,
my motto has always been distance and not time

you can run, let say, 3 miles in 45 minutes
well i can run that in 22-25 minutes
and in less time im burning more calories than you
and thats what its all about
burning calories
and getting s3xy calfs and legs

i agree running outside is way better. i do four miles everyother day. i can do that forever with no problems. when i start doing six my knee starts hurting. i did half marathon but my knee was hurting and i think i looked too skinny after that. now i just do my four miles and on off days do push ups, pull-ups, crunches, dips, lunges, and calf raises. im in great shape now..

i used to jogged with a set time a while ago. felt when i ran for distance i was a little more motivated to work out. running 5 miles, i use my phone to keep track of my pace and try to stay at 1mile/10 min time. running outside

I feel like switching between brisk walking and sprinting(HIIT) works best for me. I used to walk for 45 mins every other day and play basketball or do sprints on the days i didn't walk. Jogging for me seems to be less beneficial for me. It might be that i need new shoes, in fact i do need new shoes, but if i jog for more than a couple weeks my joints start feeling achy.

Thanks everyone, I'm trying to make running part of my life style now and so far It's been great, I just hope that all of this jogging won't take a toll on my knees because of my lack of supplements intake, i.e Vitamins etcc.

Running is the sh*t. I try and run three to four miles M W F and play basketball for a couple hours Tu Th, sometimes Saturday. I haven't ran in almost two weeks though, smh.

Probably shouldn't run everyday and I agree swimming will be better for the joints in the long run. I'm more of a run really fast for 15 minutes kind of person. I don't like jogging, too damn boring.

HIIT is the sh*t if you wanna loose weight. Main thing is, BE ACTIVE! Dont sit around for hours and hours. Everything else will fall into place with due time. MOVE BABY....MOVE!

PS. Swimming is awesome for arthritic patients and for everybody else of course.
