I get that ur anti-pot now, but dont come in here raining on others parade.

The way amendment 64 works for CO is that u can possess 1 oz and cultivate 6 plants. It's treated like alcohol, u cant give it to kids, buy it for kids, or leave it lying around for kids to get into. From what i read, employers still have the right to test and prohibit/terminate employment based on results of a drug test in CO. This is due to safety concerns raised, and the fact that legalization is not recognized on a federal level. Facts are facts, if ur stoned at work, and u have a job that implies any sense of fault should something go wrong (construction, warehouse, even some food related jobs) ur gonna get sh*t-canned and probably hit with a negligence lawsuit (at worst).

its "regulation like alcohol". be smart, be safe

one big question i had tho is: are large name retailers going to get in on this? i mean u would have to set up in-state ops to produce product, but imagine going to ur buddies house and lighting up some gross sh*t and having him be like " come on, man, u know im broke. this is that walmart Great Value weed!"

Well you gotta look at the language the legislation was written in. It said the "decriminalization" for any over 21 to possess or use marijuana.

So if it showed up on a urinalysis I would have to imagine that I'll be like alcohol showing up. Therefore its not punishable.

I'm not sure though.

Here is the problem though. Remember when CA first started getting big with the Medical Marijuana cards everyone could get one right, then at the time Gov Schwarzenegger vetoed a bill sponsored by medical marijuana advocates that would have protected most employees from being fired for testing positive for pot that they used outside the workplace with their doctor's approval.

It could be a trap or whatever, but people need to think about the repercussions about the possibility that they could be tested then fired. Federal employees of the state might want to think before they act, and hopefully there will be clarification. There could be some interesting stories coming out the next year once this bill is put into effect in both states. Stay tuned.

What pisses me off though is that I live in Las Vegas. This state NEEDS to do something like this to fix this local economy. There ain't sh*t out here for jobs, and is has the highest unemployment rate in the country. If someone besides dumb fu*k Senator Reid decides it would be in the "best interest" for Las Vegas, LEGALIZE it here! Imagine if Las Vegas had legalized weed laws. This would be the New Amsterdam of the West and definitely help bring back tourism, businesses, etc. Its so a.ss backwards out here. Gambling in Vegas, prostitution in Reno, but no legalized Mary Jane? Come on man! Makes no damn sense. Oh yea, i forgot, this state makes more money from people fu*king up then through the casinos. Sad but true.

We passed it but with the passing of this bill it also is gonna allow the police to draw blood from you on a traffic stop if they believe your "to high to drive". They check for canniboids or some sh*t but I for one am not ok with giving a blood sample to some traffic cop.

Uhh, have you ever heard of California? Pretty sure the DEA sh*ts on their rights on a regular a.ss basis. The development of our nation has led to federal power being expanded and having authority over the states although thats not really how it was meant to be. I don't like it, but any DEA raid of a state sanctioned medical marijuana dispensary in California where it is legal is a violation of state sovereignty obviously, you are acting like this sh*t is hypothetical, that has literally happened dozens of times at least in the past decade...
Cali sets national standards with its laws. They did this with medicinal marijuana, and were the first put legalization on the ballot in a serious way. Of course the DEA would try to make an example of the state, to hold back others. Now with states passing these laws the feds are either going to have to go all out (they wont risk the backlash) or start pulling back.

Gonna be interesting if the Repubs try to make this a states rights issue to get votes...

When I lived out there back around 05-06 the mayor wanted to turn the Old Strip into the New Amsterdam....sounds genius, no? Had a giant 10 page insert with the newspaper and everything. It makes too much sense. People are still not going to stop goin to Vegas, but in-comparison to 10-15 years ago it's like night n day, especially when you travel off the strip. Legalizing pot in Vegas is a no-brainer, and would boost their economy back to where it was or beyond. The old strip is ran down and like a ghost town anyways and could use a renovation so legalizing pot and setting up cafes and smoke shops within the Old Strip seems like too good of an idea...almost 10 years ago and still nothin'

Good for you. So are you going to become an honorary member of the Lung Police now, or are you going to shut the fu*k up and let other people enjoy something that you once indulged in?

Imma just say that war on drugs is retarded.

Ive had 3 friends raided for weed in my life:

1) $8k and under 20grams
2) $$1500 and under 20 grams
3)2 pounds and cash

MFs setting up expensive raid operations and kicking doors for under $10k worth of a victimless drug? Waste of time and money. sh*t is so stupid. Only winners are the scummy drug lawyers that charge $10-20k to get these ppl lesser sentences. US needs to decriminalize ASAP

No drug is victimless. And weed is addictive. If you try to deny those facts then you're kidding yourself. Now is it less destructive than cigarettes or alcohol? Yes. But it ain't like smoking stogies either.

Give it 4 years to see where CO and WA go w/ it. Predict Colorado resorts and Seattle's tourism to jump as high as that fu*kin space needle, completely aside from the tax revenue. I'm betting it's on the ballot in at least twice as many states in 2016.

And to you, define "drugs" buddy. s3x is a drug. TV and food and shopping and video games are all drugs. Even books can be a fu*king drug. Is there such thing as victimless s3x, victimless books and games and sh*t? Your outlook starts to look pretty closedminded

While I understand what that means technically, I dont understand how that all works in terms of enforcement. Does that mean the local police can't arrest you but the feds still can?

Pretty much^^^

In Cali local police don't fu*k with you as long as you're legit but if you run a big enough operation there is a chance the DEA will come and get you. It's rare but it happens. At this point so many ppl are using & growing weed that they literally will not have the money or manpower to f!ght this if more and more states catch on.They have a hard enough time dealing with Cali and medical marijuana, now they gonna try to deal with states where EVERYBODY can have it legally?

The feds are reaching the point where they either gotta concede or go all in trying to stop this.My bet is they end up giving in.
