Are you serious right now?
Yes, he's serious. He hates everything.

That n*gga has been hating on Z-Ro and Trae since his first day on this site.

but anyway... I'm glad that he is finally out of this contract! No more bullsh*t albums, just classics!

I must be the only one that is NOT happy about this, I think rapalot a few years back was putting out the most quality music, I just don't see how you can fu*k up with a roster like they had....scarface, Geto boys, zro, trae, juvenile, utp, bun b, pimp c, devin the dude, and many more, I'm at a total loss as to how a label with that roster wasn't able to be successful and keep their artists happy.

Plus ZRo's rapalot albums are much better than his Indy stuff. He seems to not be polished and has less direction when he's doing independent stuff.

Does J Prince still have control over rap-a-lot, or is it just his son now?

That roster used to be deep as fu*k back in the day..... face/GB, z-ro, devin, tela, yuk, outlawz, big mike, dmg, 5th ward boys, do or die etc etc.... lots of cats with their own styles....

2 bad most of the projects didn't sell as much as they should have....still listen to a ton of their old releases though...

I think this is the exact reason why people like Z-Ro No direction, doing what he wants.

At the end of the day, record deals are all about record sales. He will never yield top dollars in record sales so a record deal/record label just isn't his niche. I think when he first jumped on Rap-A-Lot, his stock was rising and they thought he would be the next Texas rapper to cash in. Think back, Life of Joseph McVey was his first album with them. At this time, Slim Thug deal was bout to pop, Mike Jones, Chamillionaire, etc - all went platinum. Arguably Ro is better than all of them, they probably expected his time to be next and the sales to come with it - pitched him the idea of blowing up and he was all in.

Just look at his first few products on RAL: Life of Joseph McVey, Let the Truth Be Told, I'm Still Livin', STRAIGHT HEAT! Relationship with RAL goes sour, look at what we've been getting. Yea, his last few albums have been decent, but that's all I'll give him. These last 2 albums were as commercial as I'd expect Ro to get. Just compare the overall moods from his independent albums/early RAL and his most current stuff. We know Ro is an emo a.ss n*gga, that sh*t ain't selling unless you Drake. He's too much of an independent person to have a "boss".

You see the first thing he dropped after mauling that contract, a song about pain. Just what we all have grown to love and expect from Ro
