i didn't say it was a bad list, but its definitely a "Safe" list.
How is it safe? Bruh put Wayne and Juvi on the list..........I think it's better to say he's well-rounded...diverse, if you will...kind of the opposite from what many portray him as, on this side (nerd)...

I guess I have to break down what i mean by typical. I'm not talking in the sense of, its been on every list EVER, but I'm really saying its just "of course that's one of his favorite albums...."

DJ Quik, Quik Is The Name (1991)
Ice Cube, death Certificate (1991)
Dr. Dre, The Chronic (1992)
Snoop Dogg, Doggystyle (1993)
2Pac, Me Against The World (1995)
Tha Dogg Pound, Dogg Food (1995)
2Pac, All Eyez on Me (1996)
2Pac, Makaveli (1996)
DJ Quik, Rhythm-al-ism (1998)
E-40, Charlie Hustle (1999)
Kurupt, Tha Streetz Iz a Mutha (1999)

That's every solid/classic mainstream West Coast album ever put out. I'll give JustinJones that E-40 joint, but seriously if you're from the west coast those albums are an obvious choice and nobody is gonna discredit them

Notorious B.I.G., Ready To Die (1994)
Jay-Z, Reasonable Doubt (1996)
Notorious B.I.G., Life After death (1997)
Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill (1998)
Dr. Dre, 2001 (1999)
Nas, Stillmatic (2001)
Jay-Z, The Black Album (2003)

Then you have his choices of the CLASSIC albums that are essential on everybody's list...of course he's gonna put those albums on there......

DMX, Itís Dark and Hell is Hot (1998)
Juvenile, 400 Degreez (1998)
B.G., Chopper City in the Ghetto (1999)
Lil Wayne, The Block Is Hot (1999)
Clipse, Lord Williní (2002)

And then you have these albums, Kendrick is what, about 24/25 years old? I'm 25 and I know why these albums are on here. It's the underrated/nostalgic/personal classic albums we listened to in high school. If you grew up in the 90's and was a teenager in the 00's of course you're gonna put those albums on the list.

Again, I'm not saying they're bad albums but he did pick albums that everybody is gonna agree on which is why I said it was "Safe".

so what's your point? he likes what he like, there is a reason certain albums get in most lists. it's because they are straight up flames!

fu*k yall peons hating on the Cash Money selections. They dropped amazing albums. I woulda chosen Tha Carter, the Hot Boys albums, and one of B.G.'s first 3 but his list is solid.

My list would prolly include at least one No Limit album, one of if not both of Nas's first two, UGK, Outkast, 8 ball and MJG, Kanye and Scarface/Geto Boys. Other than that, it would be similar to this.

n*gga why do you have most of the East coast NY albums as "CLASSIC" and 'essential"? That, in itself is biased. A world exists outside of the east coast bruh.
