no where in the article was jackson quoted as saying lebron could become better than jordan. it's obvious the author or editor of the actual article titled it the way they did to draw more attention to it.

Yall criticize everyone who says this sh*t

but this is the one person who has enough credibility to say this sh*t, besides Jordan

Phil Jackson would start team with Howard over LeBron
-- Dan asked Jackson who he would want to start a team with. Jackson said that power players are really the key to the NBA. There are exceptions, like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, but he would take Dwight Howard over James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Paul if he was starting a team right now.

i wonder if you agree with him here since he has so much credibility

Nothing new except what the haters think...before he went to Miami I said he was Def going down top 5, has a shot at #1 but will most likely be top 3 when its said and done

Going to be hard for him to get some things like scoring titles now that he's in Miami but he's still got a shot....he has to do the sh*t in 13-15 seasons though...fu*k all that playing 5 more years sh*t cause u cane out of high school and somehow comparing that to somebody who did the same or more in less years like certain fans of players do

Of course he can be. Just like 10 years ago Kobe could have been. But will he, is a different story. I doubt it.

Why would anybody have a problem with that? A big is the most important piece...I been said for years the top two players to start a team with in todays NBA is dwight and lebron...they are the two players who totally revamp ur team and cab take any four players on the court with them and make them a contender

Same with shaq and Jordan on all time scale...Jordan is goat but If ur starting a team most coaches would prob be 50/50

did you even read the whole quote or just the part i highlighted for emphasis? he said power players are the key to the nba but there are exceptions too mentioning jordan, kobe, and bron. i personally don't a.ssign importance to certain positions on the floor. i just want the best player and/or best fit. and you think coaches would be 50/50 between taking jordan or shaq to build their team around? the miami heat retired jordan's number but didn't retire shaq's you have got to be kidding but more likely just talking out of your a.ss. there is no evidence of that whatsoever.

Phil is a legendary attention wh0ore. He knows he can create waves just by simply saying stuff like this, knowing damn well it's not even a big deal to say he CAN be better than MJ. That's a soft statement, but since the NBA has this TMZ/MTV thing going on the past few years it's gonna get more attention.

I wish people would stop being so judgmental. Lebron is obviously not Jordan. Which I feel is the argument people think Lebron fans try to make.

The argument some believe and nobody can be sure until it's all said is done, is Lebron has the intangibles to be the greatest player ever. He just has the talent, size, skill that these other players including jordan didn't have. I know the k!llER factor is missing. But you can't teach size, skill, talent. I think you can be taught to get the k!ller in you. Lebron is young, when he matures we have no idea what kind've beast he will be.

This will prob go on being ignored and someone will bring up lebron's mom or nets lost. But NBA fan's should acknowledge these facts. Ill go on knowing that people that are apart of the game that are respected Keep saying the same thing about Lebron. But fans/stans on the internet dissagree.
