he has two hands firmly gripped on the ball.. until someone can find me a definition that proves that having the ball up against your chest automatically indicates that you alone have possession and no one else does, you have nothing
It's who has possession FIRST. Tate established a grip on the ball AFTER MD Jennings did, and MD Jennings never lost control. By definition, MD Jennings should have gotten a pick. Dude, go die.

tate was in better position to seize control of the ball than that WR was, and he was smarter. he made a heads up play, and used the rules to his advantage. it'll all come out sooner or later, the smoke will clear, as will your emotions, as did mine after i realized that the CJ non-catch was the right call and it has been called that way since then, and you'll realize it too.
the problem is cjs catch was the cookie cutter sample of the rule, meanwhile this was an obvious screwed up call, everyone knew Johnson's td was the technicality, in this case you have NO ONE with brains or clout coming out and saying it was the right call

No, you're getting THIS rule completely wrong, and you're not seeing it with any degree of objectivity. That, or you're blind as a bat.

neither one of them were "cookie cutter", especially considering calvin had maintained possession of the ball DOWN TO THE GROUND (just like you say MD did), and as he was getting up he lost it... but both calls were correct

But Astro, whens the last time ANY kind of PI was called on a hail mary, let alone offensive?the fans would be equally outraged about that. And the fact is that probably wasn't even the only PI / holding on that play. You let the game play out
PI calls for balls throw in the end zone in the NFL is a fu*king joke. You can throw that bi*ch from 50 and get that sh*t on the goaline The NFL is becoming like the NBA due to replacements

it's funny how on one hand everyone is complaining about how the refs are determining the outcomes of the games too much, yet in the next breath calling for an offensive PI call on the last second hail mary..

hogue you're in for a treat as you read thru this thread tho brother, lots of moments

that would still be the refs screwing up since they missed the call, as they made bad ones like the one that would've most likely won the game the drive before when McMillan picked it an they called roughing the passer on a normal hip tackle on russell

I didn't get to watch the end of the game (well, 3rd and 4th) I'm trying to find out the video. All I heard last night after the game was that the Packers got robbed because there should've been an offensive pass interference. The muthafu*ka didn't tell me if was off a hail mary and it was ruled a simultaneous catch that by rule goes to the receiver.

Judging by the video I see yea he pushed off but Russell Wilson got fu*king destroyed and didn't get that call

Oh well these refs and Goodell are making college look so much better

plenty of calls going both ways, i saw at least 4 holding penalties that weren't called on the packers as benson was carving up the seahawks defense during the second half..

generally speaking, there could probably be some sort of illegal contact / holding (be it defensive or offensive) that would be flagged and correctlly enforced on every single play throughout the duration of a game in the NFL. safe to say at least 75% of plays, no? point is these things go both ways. rodgers got some favorable calls.. woodson CLEARLY pass interfered on a play earlier in wilson's drive which would have resulted in them being in much better position to make that TD play.. not called because of woodson's almighty reputation as the goat CB

point is you don't call it because PI on both sides is par for the course on any hail mary

you're obviously clueless, Woodson is one of the most penalized dbs in the league, nothing to argue here anymore

Not sure why yall Packers fans are so heated about this topic. This is a very minor compared to how yall played that game and this season so far. There are bigger issues. You're supposed to be leading the division and be a deep playoff team, if not Super Bowl contenders. You shouldn't even be in these type of situations with these teams. I'd just leave this topic alone and focus on more important things with your squad. This debate is going nowhere and is only gonna give yall a headache. Focus on what's ahead and being a dominant team again.

How bout the fact that the best quarterback in the league couldn't throw the ball for a single first down to seal the game when the packers had the ball with 2 mins left?

he is/was great and is still very crafty, possibly goat status but he's washed up and he gets away with a LOT more than he should, even if he does get flagged a lot..you can't really deny that he's lost a step and he habitually makes up for it in "other ways" sad part is most of the time he gets away with it, whereas other players don't..

I don't give one fu*k about the iffy calls that COULD have been called, those happen every damn game even with the regular officials. I'm pissed at the blatant fu*ked up calls during the game, not just the last play of the game. The bullsh*t personal fouls, one took away an INT because apparently we hit Wilson too nicely when he threw the ball, and obviously the completely fu*ked up PI call that gave the Seahawks 32 yards...those are game changing calls that should not be happening. And anyone who thinks these games would be going the same way with the regular officials is delusional as hell.
