Went and saw JMSN and Allen Stone perform last night, really went for JMSN (dude is cool as fu*k down to earth probably about an inch or 2 shorter than I am 6'-6'1). He said hes finishing up his new album that should drop at the beginning of the year its going to be Titled - It Is. Now I must say this... Allen Stone gained a fan in myself and my woman last night, this mothafu*ka put on a hell of a show wearing a fu*king pea suit! He had a 7 piece band with him also (bass guitar, electric guitar, trumpet, trombone, organist, pianist/vocoder/talk boxist, and the baddest mothafu*king drummer I've ever seen!) I'm still in fu*king awe how many people were singing his songs. sh*t turned hippie fest quick as sh*t had this guy I know who is sitting on weight was in there sh*t fu*ked me up honestly. Best concert I've ever been to. If any of you are free when he comes to your town him and JMSN are a fu*king MUST SEE!
put it like this... they finished their set and the crowd started chanting for them to come back out and perform some more and they came out and did 2 more songs!
JMSN took pics with folks and autographed merchandise... Allen Stone not so much but if he did he'd still probably be there signing sh*t now. Not sure if any of his music is in here (36 pages I'm pretty sure there's something) but I ended up buying his new cd Radius which is pretty good he's more of a funk Stevie Wonder/Prince type artist (hell of a comparison I know but there's no other way to describe it)
Just had to share... Raheem Devaughn and Leela James are coming next week to Houston; I'll be there as well
yea man, JMSN a made man on BX, but radius is the sh*t, posted it a while back, sh*t still rides, love the fact that he speaks about social issues in his music, can groove and learn something at the same time.
hope the second concert is dope also
