fu*k worrying about lag. Just plug in your external hard drive and play your mkv files flawlessly.
My external is NTFS. It won't be recognized. I have to stream wired or wirelessly.

nope the WD media player can handle just about what ever you throw at it. also it plays both fat32 and NTFS.

Change the year in the Date and Time Settings. After the Cinavia message pops up just adjust the year by 1. And it play just fine for another 15-20 minutes before you'd have do it again. Repeat the process 3 or 4 times at most depending of the length of the particular movie. It works.

You spent all that time telling Ray to get a Samsung and talking major sh*t about it....n*gga you should get a Samsung and USB right into it with a usb stick, a phone, ipod, iphone, or anything that can hold digital media.

To many connections on the back of my 47 inch Samsung I bought a few months ago. All this wireless/wired/ntfs bullsh*t...man fu*k all that dumb sh*t
Only LEDs/LCDs I've owned are Samsung. I'm not wasting time transferring 8GB+ videos to extra small USB sticks when I already have them stored on a 2TB external that's hooked to my computer. Not to mention the fact that most SD card/USB slots on TVs/blu-ray players require the memory to be FAT32. That requires splitting any file over 4GB. Too much work if you're watching 1080p rips.

I stream everything but mkv's to the Box. I've been streaming mkv's to my blu-ray player but I would prefer a setup that let's me stream all my videos. I've been looking at WDTV vs Boxee. I know Boxee has a slick interface but the actual box is ugly.

How is the interface on WDTV?

Highly recommend the WD media player. Will play anything even mkv. Don't mess with the ps3 as a media player the Cinavia is tough to get around.

haha, I just was mostly interested in Icefilms or something like that for a living room device but streaming almost all formats from my computer also kinda works.
