They could have done like Ross and Drake and put it up on Amazon Mp3 for dirt cheap in order to get more sale numbers if they wanted to. I remember Drake's album was a quarter

the other thread people had them selling a lot less. i got clowned for thinking they'd sell more. but this DOESNT include digital downloads most likely. they have net fans too. touring is where its at anyway.
4 rappers only made _______ means nothing when it outsells self made and mmg is one of the top groups out with more rappers that gotta break bread. ijs.

big krit sold 40k first week w/ no major single or superstar guest appearance. These are 4 somewhat established artists in the game with the biggest rap star of our time working the project and getting superstar collaborations. Moral of the story, they owe their label a lot of money now

I dont care who they're signed to or what beats they use, the name of the group is Slaughterhouse. I was expecting 20k.

Did people actually think in 2012 a group of rappers, whose main premise is out rapping the next rapper, was really going to be a blockbuster success?

Dr. Dre cant even get a successful single out, but we expect Slaughterhouse to reach all types of stardom just cause they rap good and have an Eminem endorsement? In 2012? Really?
Best post in this thread.

Some corrections: Their debut on E1 sold 18 000 in their first week, selling 77 000 in total according to a billboard article (I think) just a couple a weeks ago.

Best part of the anti-SH movement is that they claim that SH are 4 "somewhat established artists" (= barely known by the mainstream, AT ALL) in one thread, but in the other they make sure to point out that they are losers/no names/flops in the next, and yet they expect 100 000 + from them?

Obviously, they COULD have done more and perhaps they SHOULD have done more as well. But stop comparing their numbers to those of ACTUAL mainstream artists and then make sure to let the world know that they are "no names". Beanie Sigel is a more "fit comparison", if we have to do those, since he also has a gold album. Just like Joey (in 03) and Royce (on BME). Sure, Beans isn't on a major, but he sold 2 000. See? Anyone can make a ridiculous point by comparing to a certain artist. Just enjoy the music!

I'm a proud fan of SH, and I personally would've celebrated a #1, which really could've been achieved. Hopefully they'll go back to their original sound now.

It's cuz they split their album in half. Half the good songs were on the mixtape and the other half of the good songs were on the actual album.
