this new slaughterhouse album sounds nothing like an eminem cd. eminem's wackest album is still better than this slaughterhouse album. this slaughterhouse album sounds like emcees desperately trying anything and everything to get radio play.

fu*k outta here. I'd rather listen to a Backstreet Boys album than Encore.

This album sounds like Eminem trying to push very good verses over what Slaughterhouse fans don't want. BS choruses. They still come through in my opinion. "Die" is a monster.

[QUOTE=Lazy Mikey;24483161]Shady Records has no idea how to promote their artists. They still try the strategy of the 99-02 days where if Em was on it, it sold..../QUOTE]

Can't believe I'm arguing #'s online, thanks Fif, but this post made sense. Also, I do feel like it's an automatic L to lose against a CHRISTIAN RAP album.

Still Slaughterhouse 'til the end though. Hopefully this "flop" (outsold Yela, woop woop) will mean that they go back to THEIR sound.

DJ Khaled albums make money of their singles. The album can do whatever.

For a "supergroup" attached to Eminem and Interscope, Slaughterhouse flopped with these 1st week numbers.

They could've sold that on their own and pocketed more money.

Maybe they can get lucky with one of those Skylar Grey joints and tour.

Multiple album delays.

Little to no buzz.

Poor singles.

Lackluster production.

Dumbed down lyrics.

Boring hooks.

After all that Stannery I've seen on twitter they barely pushed 50k?

This is a flop and I like the dudes. They barely sold more than Yelawolf who has a much smaller fanbase, at least SH has an internet fanbase. I never hear anyone mention Yela on the net or in real life.

The fact that they couldn't even outsell a Christian rapper is not a good look at all. Wish they could have got that #1 slot because even with low numbers they could have at least said they had a #1 album in their careers. I doubt any of the 4 will even get this close to being #1 now

I said 45k, this climate sucks.

Slaughterhouse has a way bigger fan base than Yela, but its easier to download stuff this year compared to years past.

Notice no lawsuits this year, with all them shareware sites.

Consumers just picking the artists apart.
haha what? how is it easier this year when by february, 90% of uploading sites deleted everything commercial music related because of the megaupload raid?

youre just making excuses, the album sucked, all of them lack charisma, especially put together, and making a mainstream single with 4 rappers whose only content is making subpar punchlines for years is bound to fail

Why we still talkin album sales numbers? We know that in this generation it means absolutely nothing...maybe in the 90's soundscan was important but not now. Touring and appearances are where the artists make all their money and is a better representation of who listens and follows the artists. Pretty much always has been, just more apparent now. Only people that care about bad album sales are the record labels.

The BME EP sold 170k units in the first week and ended up having sold 750k units twelve months later.

Granted, it had Eminem verses on every track and singles like 'Lighters' and 'Fast Lane' to raise the EP's profile.
