I hope you're hitting or already hit the gym today Joe, because I had an early AM sesh.

I plan on running about 3 - 5 miles (I ran 3 for the first time in a while last night) every Monday, Wednesday, Friday. I'm actually starting to enjoy running, so yes, I'm going to keep up at it on these days. No, I do not plan on lifting and running on the same days, at least not yet. I lift on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

What I do now is just what I found in this Men's Health book, lol. All 3 sets of 10, except abs. 60 seconds rest.

Workout A:
Abs (doing planks this month) 3 x 1 minute
Single Arm Dumbbell Swings
Barbell Row
Squats
Barbell Bench Press

Workout B:
Abs (side planks) 3 x 45 seconds each side
Barbell Lunges
Pullups (assisted have to work on that)
Deadlifts
Barbell Shoulder Press

I like it because it's quick and squeezes into my schedule nicely because I have to hit the showers then walk to class shortly after I finish.

Just got back from the gym....

FYI -- 2ToTimes wants to be apart of the weight loss competition, so I'll add his information tonight/tomorrow.

So.... all that means is... I'll beat typicalblackman, I'll beat 2ToTimes, hell... I'll even beat Truest... And I'll be crowned the champ...

For the amount of beer and wings I put back during the next 4 or 5 months man, it'd be hard.

Oddly enough, I work out during the season pretty regularly but it just ends up to be maintenance since the diet is so poor...

I hear you. My diet won't be perfect, but I want to be "ready" by next summer. That's my ultimate goal.

Just got back from my run. 3 miles in 23:57. I have no idea where that came from.

Last week was a TERRIBLE week of running for me. I've been doing all my running up to this point on the treadmill. I've been running on 6.0 (10 min pace) and progressed to 2.25 miles pretty easily. But last week, man, for whatever reason, I could only go for 15 minutes tops before both sides of my stomach were cramping up so bad I had to stop. I was getting discouraged because I was supposed to run 2.75 miles each running day last week. Didn't even look forward to running anymore. This week, I decided to say, "fu*k a treadmill!" and started going on night runs around this school in my neighborhood.

That may not be the best time, but at my current weight and overcoming the nightmare of last week, I feel fu*kin' great.
