Great points I often wonder what these people are celebrating every weekend in the club? What are they all smoking and drinking to? Then I figured it out, being broke by Monday and breaking your neck to do it agin next week appeals to most people. Cheers idiots. If more people tried owing the business instead of frequenting it we'd be a different people.

I agree with her in the context people should spend less time fu*king around and working more to obtain their goal but this isn't the person I wanna hear that advice from . I feel like getting a good job or being able to succeed in a career is substantially about catching a break. Someone literally giving you a break, a chance or an opportunity and you making the most of it. Not everyone gets a break and I think alot of it also has to do with who you know.

I agree with her in the context of working towards a goal but not everyone needs $100k a year to live happy, there's alot of people who work regular 9 to 5 jobs and make enough money to buy the things they need, they find other things in life to pursue and accomplish that makes them happy instead of a financial goal. I think everyone needs to have atleast 1 goal and work towards it whether it's a financial one, health one or an item that you really want. That's what I think life is about anyways, setting up goals and progressively reaching those goals and bettering yourself in the process.

fu*k being lazy! I was roofing and pouring concrete last summer but in the last 90 day I have worked nearly every day for a property management company. I went from leasing agent to managing a $5,000,000 property that will be a $50,000,000 property by this time next year. In less than 2 years I will go from poverty level $10/hr to $30,000 now and easily $50,000 next year with bonuses. I know lots of people who just want to work their 40 hrs then drink and smoke weed all weekend. If you think you can get rich without hard work then think again.
See how stupid poor people are.

people always a.ssume that just because you're born into money that you aren't taught responsibility, work ethic, or the value of a dollar. really ?

I personally was raised that though I might be privileged, I am expected to contribute to my society, contribute to my family and to continue the legacy of my family, you think its easy to get accepted to Yale ? its not like the movies, your parents don't make a ten million dollar donation and you automatically get accepted and coast through your education, I didn't have sh*t handed to me. I had to prove to my father that I was capable of being a responsible individual in all aspects of my life, financially, personally and publicly....my parents raised their children with the understanding that while you are in a great position now, one bad decision can ruin it all, so act wisely.

WTF do the poor get taught ? how are you taught to manage money when you don't have any ? How can you care about school when you don't have food in the fridge and hunger pains, you're like fu*k school and hustle, alot of parents don't care cause they went through the same sh*t, you see GENERATIONS of people on welfare, kids having kids to collect a check, its fu*ked up.

I don't necessarily agree with this woman's point of view, I have met her before and she is a snobby c*nt, he has no class and has literally had everything handed to her on a silver platter, she doesn't know sh*t about work. I think more money needs to be spent in impoverished areas, help the poor manage their money, provide free training so that they can move up in their companies, or even get a job to begin with, minimum wage needs to be raised, I think if you're working you should make at least $10-$12 per hour (and if your part time you should make more) the way cost of living is going this is the bare minimum one needs to survive.
Did yall catch this....

most people can change their lives, if they are willing to struggle for it. You might be working hard, but you might not be working hard the right way. Don't give up hope, you gotta learn more to change your circumstances.

after reading threw a few post ( and i read quite few from both sides of the argument) im siding with the common sense side. as she pointed out, yes, those who choose to smoke, drink, party every weekend, then break their neck during the week to get all back just to blow it again the next week, they should prioritize their lives and get back on track. but for those who bust their a.ss 9-5, 11-7, or whatever and still can't catch a break, what do you tell THEM???.....oh im so sorry you work your fingers to the bone, pay your bills, jump at every opportunity that comes your way and still can't get ahead. what are WE supposed to do???....this chick was givin her wealth and has the nerve to spout this Marie Antoinette bullcrap??.....no, im sorry, this does not sit well with me. had her folks had said," ok your going to inherit this billions of dollars when we die, but first you need to work in the mines with our employees and make what we pay them for 4 yrs. and live on your own in town," i would be on the same page as her. but she was just granted all this money and comes talkin out the side of her neck? im all for getting your own, even owning your own business, but nowhere was it written in stone that all of us had to be businessmen or women to live comfortably. i got friends with good paying jobs not even in management/corporate positions and have been able to buy their own homes and such and still live good. its all about how you spend yours.

"If you're jealous of those with more money, don't just sit there and complain," she said in a magazine piece. "Do something to make more money yourself -- spend less time drinking or smoking and socialising, and more time working."

Nothing she said was incorrect. Who cares how she got money, fact is she got it and most people don't. If you want more, go out and get it and spend less time complaining. I can say 3 years ago, I wasn't where I wanted to be financially, socially or career wise. I was making sh*t money at a sh*t job in a sh*t situation. I got tired of it, cut out the drinking, the eating out every night and fcoused on what I was good at. 3 years later I've tripled my income, have some nice savings, a job I go to that I actually like and enough money to where if I wanted to go on a two week vacation tomorrow it wouldn't be sh*t.

I agree with you completely. I've lived it.

She aint saying that you can become a BILLIONAIRE this way. Theres more to it than that though.

People make themselves prisoners of their circumstance. In 2009 my life sucked so bad (financially, career wise, and in terms of happiness). I got fed up and made a list of goals and how to achieve them. Went out and got things done.

Im in 10x a better place than I was at that time. I look back and think, "I can't believe I let myself live like that for so long"

I think that's the essence of what she was trying to say. Just stop bullsh*tting and go after it and you can do whatever you put your mind to..

She just phrased it in a way that made her vulnerable to becoming a villainous sound byte
