Yeah I just recently read that somewhere. Thanks tho. I got another question tho.

So I've been lifting heavy for my deadlifts but noticed that my form and technique has been sh*tty the whole time. Should I just start from scratch with my deadlift? If so, what weight should I start from?

Just find a weight that you can do 3-5 rep with good form. Take like 80-90% of that and start from there.

Well you have prior experience and your not taking the 50% from your true 5RM but instead from a 3-5RM where you feel the most comfortable with.

When testing an actual 5RM there will be some bad form towards the end but this is true for almost any rep max.

If you feel more comfortable starting from 50-60% then do that. If 80-90% is too much for you then back off and lower the weight.

It's basically just guess work since you are not starting from scratch with just a bar.

im running a modified version of 5/3/1 a little more geared towards hypertrophy (still has main lifts based on %'s though_

ive heard nothing but good things about 5/3/1 however, ppl do say it becomes tedious+boring

also keep a notebook and log the info
