I like that someone posted Trap Muzik, of the newer albums, that definitely deserves to be in the running. However, for me it's between IWW, Low End Theory, and ATLiens. I'm not sure I can pick between those, but if I had to, I'd pick ATLiens, probably.

Was Supreme Clientele Ghostface's second album as well? That should be on the list if it is.

Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood
Chronic 2001
Marshall Mather LP

Should be at least included in the discussion

But I'd say ATLiens or Life After death, followed closely by It Was Written

Explain why Vol.1 was "horrible"....
People hate on vol. 1 for some reason, but aside from that one joint with Kim, that album is fire. I still think it's a 9/10. Great production, great rapping, great concepts. Songs like Streets is Watching, Imaginary Player, You Must Love Me, Where I'm From, A Million and One Questions, Lucky Me, sh*t, I could go on and on. Great album. Even Sunshine is a dope song, but the video ruined it for a lot of people, but that beat is dope.

All these albums are classics. But in my opinion here's how I'll rank them.
1. Liquid Swordz
2. The infamous
3. Life After death
4. Atliens
5. The Low end theory
6. It was Written
7. The Score
8. death Certificate
9. Ressurection
10. Follow the Leader
11. Pauls Boutique
12. It takes a Nation of Millions to hold us back
13. Late Registration

What people hate on about this album is the production. But still, on that album, Hov was saying nothing but that hot sh!t. Personally, I think lyrically he was at his best on that album. But thats my opinion.

On Lucky Me, he was k!llin it.
"Give me any amount of time, won't have Ms. Carter grieve at the funeral parlor dripping tears on my sleeve"
Y'all DO remember thats where that line came from, right? But the beat was kinda lame.

The beats were a little more poppy than RD, true, but there was still a lot of good beats on there. If anything, I think Vol. 2 is possibly the worst Jay album (or maybe vol. 3 or La Familia, but it's definitely in this period), but people fu*k with that one cuz it had some big hits. The album as a whole ain't even close to Vol. 1 though. That's the interesting thing, people talk about Nas came back with Stillmatic, but before Blueprint, Jay hadn't had a really GREAT album since Vol. 1, imo. Jay had more hits in this period, but these weren't front to back great albums like RD, Vol. 1, BP. I know a lotta people gonna disagree with this.
