he doesn't have an argument over anyone else in the top 4. they all do something much better than him and all are comparable in barkleys biggest strength[besides dirk] in rebounding
KG?Defense blows barkley out of the water. passing too
Malone?elite for 13-14 years, good for about 15. defense much better than barkleys
Dirk? Much better range. Barkley took 3's, he didn't make many. also wasn't nearly as big of a headcase/workethic never in question
Duncan?dont even have to explain

it really isnt

Drexler AI is a better debate

and nope, kidd was inefficient his entire career and didnt start to develop a shot until his later years, got him at 7. got to say though even as a knicks fan, those kidd/vc/rj teams
You serious? He took a whack a.ss Nets roster to back2back finalas and got a ring in dallas. Second all time in a.ssist and I believe steals. Third and 3pointers made and you have him 7? Who are your 6 ahead of him and please dont say steve nash.

you said they were close, but yeah. and it's not "blindly" looking at stats, it tells alot of the story. even if you take the eye test, even though you can barely find footage of west you can tell he was ahead of everyone on the court besides oscar. he made alot of his career taking shots from behind the arc.

the only thing wade has over west is rings, and when you see that west won a FMVP when his team lost it tells you that he deserved the name mr clutch. im not saying he deserves no blame for going 1-8, but it was never his fault that his team lost the series. west made the all defensive team 4/5 times as well[introduced in 1969]. West was just missing alot of things in that era. A 3 point line, awards, luck, victim of the era. It didn't help him that his running mate in Baylor was inefficient either.

And some people believe Russell is the #2 best player ever or even the GOAT, so Wilt playing against him[and getting the # he did] was a feat. Take a look at Shaq's best year
30/14/4/3 bpg on 57%.

You don't think Wilt could match that, or do better? Likewise with Shaq going back in his era, can easily see him getting 50/25.

As for the LeBron/Wilt thing, teams were asking wilt to come back in his mid 40s/early 50s, I don't see that happening with Bron. but
I said they were close enough to call it even when you realize that #s back then are inflated, wade would have better #s if he played back then.

It doesn't matter how clutch he was perceived to be back then, the fact is he lost 8 finals, and in todays game he would be crucified. Lebron got all the blame when he lost to orlando averaging like 38/8/8, nobody would give a sh*t if he played well he lost and that would be it. Yes wade has him beat in rings in far less tries, not to mention their career stats again are relatively close.

People that place russell that highly is again off accomplishments, he won 11 rings again showing rings are held in higher regard on all time lists. He wouldn't win 11 rings now obviously.

Could wilt pull off those #s sure, but his #s would drop drastically overall changing eras. Shaq might even score more points if he were to go back, depending on how he took free throws, because wilt literally didn't give a fu*k about free throws.

Completely different era, he had the height to continue playing. Jordan playing at 40 is more impressive than wilt playing at 40.

People are just mentioning names without even saying who they would replace

Iverson? Career 40% in the playoffs
Mcgrady? Career underachiver. How you can have the second best best centre in the league (Yao) and still not do sh*t is beyond me

at the knowledge of these posters, give more then just a name

actually, i dont remember lebron getting much of the blame. he played out of his mind that entire series, any person with an IQ above 10 should have known that his team was sh*t, and the Magic were the best defensive team in the league. i dont want to check every finals west played in, but if you do that im pretty sure that at least 7 times[wilt or baylor might have had 1 better series] he's the best player on the lakers

and shaq didnt give a fu*k about fts either . shaq missed out on like 3000 points because of fts

He did get blamed because he didn't do enough to win.

Shaq didn't give a fu*k but he made them at a better %.

do you blame him for losing that series?im not blaming anyone who puts up 38-8-8

and there's no way shaq is going to somehow decide to work on his fts. he knows he's getting 50 points every time, no need for extra work

shaq has better career numbers head to head and a better record. shaq even had a great individual series when they got swept in the finals. classic example of something getting overblown as time passes.

cousy couldn't dribble with his left hand, historically inefficient, no shot, etc. there's a perfect example of a guy who couldn't succeed today
West>Wade but it's very close and can be argued for wade
Elvin Hayes and McHale over Dirk/Barkley?Just no
Centers are all close from 2-5, can be argued for any of em

Despite leading the those offenses how many finals has he played in? And when they were on the same team who started? Besides Kidd was a triple double machine in his prime. You cant put down kidd going to the finals because his division was weak. You can only play the teams out there. Yet you wanna put nash higher who had more to work with and did less?
