When I see a rating system out of 10, I go by a school grading system which I guess is my fault? So 9-10 = great/classic (if it's a 10 it's classic with no exceptions/FLAWLESS), 8-9 = good/near great, 7-8 (which is a C, which is average) is average, 6-7 (where you had it is a D which is poor at best, and anything below a 6 is bad/terrible/trash.
Exactly how I've always graded albums.
I thought his debut album was pretty decent. Just didn't sound like the same Big Sean that made "Desire, Want & Need", "Made"; basically mixtape Big Sean. I gave it a 7. Hopefully he comes correct on this new album. Even though I can't stand Lil Wayne's "My Homies Still", Big Sean still did his thing on that track.
