I remember there was a thread about a year ago with a youtube audio clip of a Pac interview with him talking about Dre's work ethic at death Row.

Pac was just like " He aint worked in years, he be taking three years to do one song, when I saw that shyt I told Suge this shyt got to stop " then he went on to say some more shyt about it like " I'm out in these streets every day whoopin n*ggaz a.sses and starting wars while this ni99a Dre spending all his time laid up eating pus*y and suckin dyck "

Pac was so ahead of his time

We need Pac back, dude wrote classic albums in 3 days and double albums in 14 days.

Dre can't even give us one dope single disc in almost 14 years.

The original version of California Love that Pac asked Dre to have was recorded for the original Chronic 2 sessions that was supposed to come out in '96 but Dre left death Row and it was never completed, thats the album he's referring to

Either way, he was right
Actually the song was completed and done with Ice Cube for the Heltah Skeltah album. Suge told Dre to take Cube's part off and let Pac put his verse in. One of the many reasons Dre bounced from death Row.

That's 96, you're comparing today's economy to the economy back in 96? Not too many rappers were flashing money like that back then.

You could get a gallon of gas for a $1.71. When rappers start making billions well see how you react to these rappers in this era. The game don't stop it keep going, b.

I think ur thinkin of U Cant See Me. That was the one Cube and Dre had first for Heltah Skeltah, then the Dogg Pound for Dogg Food, then Suge said give it to Pac.

The original California Love was a Dre solo record he made for his upcoming (at the time) album in mid-late 95 when the Heltah Skeltah project had already fizzled out.

Cube being on Cali Love was a fan made or a rumored version i cant remember, but i heard talk of it.

He was talkin about 2001. Not detox obviously.

I aint mad at dre but I could see how it would be annoying.
Negative...he was speaking on Chronic:2 "Papa Got A Brand New Bag" which was clearly never released.

Dre had grown tired of the same antics that ultimately led to the collapse of death Row which also led to the demise of Pac himself.

Back then Suge went too crazy and was more concerned about the reputation of himself and death Row in the streets than he was about the quality of the music that he was releasing.

Not to mention the fact that Pac and Snoop were getting in to it around this same time span, Pac and Snoop were not nearly as potent on death Row without Dre over seeing the music, even tracks he didn't produce were still hand picked and given the green light by Dre.

Bottom line, Dre is a perfectionist and this will never change...when he's starving or got a point to make he can make history, when he's not motivated he makes music that shows his lack of motivation.
