Damn, people really dishing out 10's like that for someone other than Scorsese or Fincher? To each is own, but come on now, a ten means that no movie is better than that. It's the pinnacle of film making. People giving inception a ten? Really? And memento? I'm so glad I don't have some of your guys' taste. I'd feel ashamed. You know by rating something a ten you're putting it on godfathers level? Or goodfellas? Or seven? Boggles my mind. A dream within a dream within a dream with someone trying to steal that dream all the while it's a dream dreamt up by some dream maker who could end up in a dream like state forever is what people call a ten? Geez Nolan's movies are good but he doesn't have a single 10. Get off his d!ck people, if he didn't make batman no one give him the time of day. All that being said, batman begins is his best film. And that's a 9.5

And the prestige, while a good movie to watch once in awhile, has a cliche ending. A twin. Wow. Nothing clever about that. All his movies are about an 8 or so besides the batmans which rank higher, but that's ostly because I'm a huge batman fan and always have been. The inner kid in me gets giddy everytime I watch them.
You give Batman Begins a 9.5, but you're mad at people giving Inception a 10?

I'll give a 10 to any movie I don't find much wrong with.

The Dark Knight is a 10 to me. So is Inception. The Dark Knight Rises a 9.5.

This is such flawed logic, it's ridiculous.

Would a 9.9/10 satisfy you?

Of course it won't touch The Godfather's level, but every movie should be rated as a stand alone and not in comparison otherwise you will ALWAYS be disappointed in every movie you watch.

Nolan's films have some depth to them, which is something you don't get unless you're watching a Scorsese, Fincher or Aronofsky film (just my favorites, I know there are a few more), so yeah I think every one of his films have been over a 7.

If I had to pick a favorite it'd be Inception though. The characters and the difficult plot line were key factors in my liking of that movie. I can't recall having seen any film while in the theaters four times in two weeks besides Inception. Leonardo was masterful, and his supporting cast was exceptionally good. they really sold their characters very well. The film was about the depths of our dreams and since we all dream, it was quite relatable. Of all the people out there, who hasn't dreamed of sneaking into a large, heavily guarded fortress, only to get to the main room to open some menial box or to find some random item that pertains to your current life? Of all the people who have lost lovers to some tragic accident, who hasn't had haunting dreams about them, or wished they were stuck in limbo with them forever? The action sequences were as good, if not better than, any film that labels itself an "action" film. The inter-character dialogue was witty and in context. And if you look close enough to notice the little nuances throughout the film, it truly adds a layer of depth that you might have missed the first time.

So yeah, fu*k it, 10/10.

Plus, that ending had me like

Because what made it great was the twists and turns. Most movie's that rely on shock value of twists and turns lose quality on rewatches, obviously. I rate movie's on how I felt about them the first time I watched them, though, seeing as I rarely rewatch movies, other than catching them on HBO/Showtime/Starz/Cinemax when I'm flipping through the channels.

Even still, I rewatched The Prestige recently and loved it. You definitely pick up on sh*t on the rewatch that you did not pick up on in the initial watch.
yea the movie was pretty good ..... especially the parts with tesla

I think Inception may be Nolan's best film. Completely blew my wig back.
I JUST recently figured out the ending and I dont care what anything on the internet says, Cobb was still dreaming.

As far as Batman...the first two were 10s for me and TDKR 9.5.
Memento 9.5
The Prestige 9.5

Never seen Insomina or The Following.

6/10 kind of weak since Memento in 2000

Before the haters start quoting remember my #2 hitchcock made a ton of sh*t fIlms, tho Nolan seems to be about the money and not art.

I still haven't seen TDKR, been so busy w work and sh*t

I'd rather watch the majority of Nolan's films right now then I would The Godfather, any day of the week. So would the vast majority of people I know.

There are MANY more lmao.

I guess I will rate for the hell of it.

Following 8/10
Memento 8.5/10
Insomnia 6/10
Begins 7/10
Prestige 7.5/10
DK 6/10
Inception 7.5/10 (must have missed the deep dialogue, seemed like a concept watered down for casual mainstreamers)

I don't see any tens, but I haven't given a film ten since City of God 10 years ago.
I absolutely love the fact that The Dark Knight is tied for your least favorite Nolan film. It fits your personality so ridiculously perfectly it's hilarious and I thank you for proving how big of a intentionally going against the grain for no other reason than to go against the grain douche bag you are. And your comment after Inception cements it.

Get a life.

Seriously instead of trolling give me one reason why the dark knight is better than memento.

It's a popcorn flick and has not even a drop of the effort and creativity. It's just a batman movie not an epic.
I have absolutely no problem with somebody putting Memento over The Dark Knight.

It's just hilarious that you went out of your way to give it a 6 and say it's tied for your least favorite Nolan film. It just speaks volumes about your character. It confirms what I already knew, so thank you for that.

Tdk 9/10 (best superhero movie to made. The end)
inception 8/10 (visually a master piece, conceptually a tab confusing)
tdkr 7.5/10 (will always be compared to tdk, i felt it was a bit rushed, but great cast)
memento 7.5/10 (very simialr to inception with the concept but a thriller
theprestige 8/10 (i like this movie alot but only watched it 3 times,
following 7.5/10 (good movie but not his best)
begins 8/10 (begging of a concept that many directors couldn't duplicate, great movie)
insomnia 7/10 (the fact that peter pan was a k!ller didn't grab me ha! Not al pacino best performance)
