@ these clowns saying ban rock n' roll. saying "that's why he was insane, that heavy metal bullsh*t"

You know some idiots would say the same thing about rap too right? Talking about how gangster rap glorifies violence so it must lead to murders. You're being just as retarded as them. Neither rap or rock n' roll are responsible for acts like this. This dude didn't murder people because of fu*king music. He murdered them because he hated his life and was jealous of other people living theirs. End of thread.

f*ggots.

What totem pole do you speak of? In terms of popularity? Record sales? Concert attendance? Accolades?

I can see the argument being made for Country music vs. Hip Hop. However, there's no comparison in regards which genre is currently more relevant, Hip Hop > Rock.

Furthermore, if this is indeed your feeling, why would you be a member of a Hip Hop site?

in terms of musical quality. . you know, something we forgot about with hip hop. popularity, record sales, concert attendance makes the music better?

miley cyrus has a whole sh*tload of all that fu*ks that mean?
Quality? That's relative. Honestly, most of the new rock songs I've been hearing as of late sounds like recycled sounds from a decade ago. Rock has not advanced musically which is why they haven't been able to generate younger fans. Kids don't want to listen to whatever sounds like what their parents listen to. Hip Hop on the other hand has advanced which is why I'm still confused by your "totem pole" comment.

Sure Miley Cyrus is definitely much more popular than alot of other artists, but she does pop (popular) music.....she should be popular. Your analogy does not make any sense.

ok marilyn manson got blame
the media still found a way to blame rap in the process as well
rap music has always been used as a scapegoat when they can't figure out why these lil white kids shoot up places

Hip Hop hasn't advanced since the 80's. if anything Hip Hop
has regressed to the 808 beats from the 80's and lazy flows
of the 70's. I often say the hip hop of today is like grunge of
the 90's. The grunge kids of the 90's weren't around in the 70's
to hear groups like Black Sabbath, The s3x Pistols and Hendrix.
So they copied the attitude and sound of the music albeit in a
less proficient way. I see that same thing with Rap now, the kids
take the sound of the music that came before them and make it
their own. I'm really surprised the youth are still into rap and they
haven't tried to come with a musical genre of their own. Rap is
way past it's shelf life of being the "new thing"

I remember ICP caught a lot of heat for Columbine. I was working for a company that was making ICP's merch during that period and we saw the cover of like Time and one of those kids were wearing one of the jerseys we produced, we discontinued that jersey right then. And sales took a nose dive for a few months afterwards because parents were trippin on their kids and a lot of schools banned kids from wearing ICP related shirts to school.

Idk.... I doubt it happened. These guys were gothed out, and wore trench coats and all black. I was thinking death medal was what they liked

I googled it and found an article on a school shooting where the kid loved bone thugs, but it wasn't columbine maybe coo coo is mistaking but who really cares
