Ha, I find it funny that all the late 80s, early 90s youngins and hipster fans are like "fu*k nas", "I dont like the album at all"

and the older heads & critics are loving the album

lol. sh*t is funny to me.........

You can clearly see the divide

Good for Nas in 2012. I think the sales projection will go up by next tuesday

Nas & Rick Ross have 2 different recording budgets for their albums
So let's not compare the 2
It's couples thing called 'recording budget' 'marketing and promo budget'
You an intern at Def Jam?

How do you know what Nas budget was since he had 3 High-priced videos and had to clear about 15 samples? If you wanna pocket your budget that's your own fault.

This is 2012 rappers have adapted to the new climate and know how to manipulate
Social media and street-marketing to do the bulk of their own Promo without a major label giving them a loan.

This is a business and these labels invest the money were they are going to get the best return bottom line.

Good #s IMO. Even though he didn't have a hit song, he did perform at a lot of shows, so Def Jam definitely gave him some good opportunities to build up his buzz. I honestly didn't think he would do more than 150K anyway. Most people i know didn't even know he had an album coming out. Thats just how it is these days with most of the former heavyweights. Either way, the album is still great.

sh-t is halarious,

Nas could put his name on a waka flocka album and they'd rush to say its a classic.

Dudes is so thirsty to get him a win that they'd compare this bullsh-t album to illmatic

sh-t won't even move 40k units first week

That's not bad at all. Considering Hip Hop and R&B doesn't sell anymore. And the rappers you guys see, hear, and hype up every day do worse than this. And they're popular. Besides, Nas albums always sell over time. He always ends up getting a gold plaque, at this point in his career.
