I'm not mad at Ray for leaving. We knew he was leaving. We tried to trade him twice. He was was apart of a championship team and played his heart out the last 5 years so in all honesty, he owes us nothing.
I've been okay with the concept of parting with Ray since early in the season. He hits crucial 3 pointers but other than that, 37 year old Ray hasn't brought much else to the table. The signing of Terry made me even more comfortable with the concept.
What somewhat rubs me the wrong way is that he signed with Miami, who just beat us the past 2 seasons. They are our rivals. They hate us, We hate them. You can't just sign with them and expect everything to be okay.
If Ray had signed with the Clippers I would have been fine with it. He would be on a team where he would be starting and competing for another title. Instead, he goes to the rival Heat to sit on the bench and make less money than he would have with us.
At the end of the day, I respect Ray for what he did with his time here. He did a lot for the community and wish him the best. fu*k the Heat though
