he's a restricted free agent, which means it would be like meeting sheet if traded. meaning it would be better than them signing him on a free agent contract. and of course they would have to send another piece with him. if you thought lopez alone for dwight would work then you are an idiot. but i know you are just trying to follow the crowd just to find an immature way to say nets lost,so i'll treat uou as such. what people naively think is that other teams cant get involved in a nets-magic trade.
They tendered Brook Lopez which means it's a one year contract. Next year, he'll be a free agent. If he doesn't resign a new contract, he would have an expiring contract. And what pieces do the Nets have to package for D12 other Lopez. Tell me that? Until signed to a new contract instead or a tender, Brook is only making 4 mil. The combined salary has to be about 15 mil according to the matching rule for the Nets to acquire D12's salary in a trade. Orlando is not gonna take JJ's contract and the Nets are not about to trade D-will. That only leaves Gerald Wallace and his 9 mill salary, which would still not be enough. So they would have to throw in Brooks, a player they don't want to trade. Even then with Brooks, Lopez, and Wallace, the salaries still may not match up. So again, who do the Nets have to trade that the Magic want? They already said they don't want the Nets trash
