Obamacare is only bad for Insurance companies.
If YOU the person reading this owns an insurance company then yeah your in trouble if you do not own an insurance company then your good.
Prior to obama care heres how health insurance worked.
Shaq has $50 taken out his check every week.
Shaq's son hurts his knee and needs surgery.
The insurance company tells Shaq that because his son kobe hurt his knee playing basketball, An activity that he "willingly subjected himself too" the company is not responsible for paying for that surgery.
Companies always try to find some sort of reason as to why they are not responsible for paying for surgery, medicine, therapy etc.
In this clip Linda Peeno Former Medical Director of Blue cross & Blue shield explains to congress that All agents were given bonuses for saving the company by denying care. It is utterly sickening and profound. But thats how they made their money.
And your analogy is not true. If Shaqs son hurt his knee playing basketball and needs surgery or medicine, it is covered. Some insurance companies f!ght paying, but in all honesty, it's a game. If you stick to things and are persistant, they will pay. That's the trick in dealing with insurance companies. They will initially not pay, but for those that follow through and f!ght their case and move on up the line to management, they will get their claims paid. My dad had multiple sclerosis before he died, and he had to f!ght many a claims. In fact, I was there during one convo in which the guy on the phone admitted they were paid to deny claims, but that if he continued to follow up, they would eventually pay out because the claim was, in fact, a valid one. He continued to f!ght for it, and the claim was paid.
