It's funny how people are "hating" on LeBron because they point out facts. I'm a Celtics fan, but i'm a sports fan before anything. LeBron is a great player. Probably the best all around player in the NBA. But lets not kid ourselves. He has said multiple times that he wants to be the best. He has said he's gonna win 8 championships. Right? So prove it.
Well he has played for 9 years and has 1 championship to show for it. Do I doubt that he can win more? Absolutely not. He's a great player and any team that has him will more than likely be a contender. Especially when he's paired with Dwayne Wade. But You can't really put him on the same pedestal as guys like Jordan, Kobe, Magic, Duncan, Shaq, etc. These are all talented guys that were able to win multiple (4+) championships with their teams. I wish LeBron well and I think he'll be a no brainer for the hall of fame when his career is over. But based on resume (mainly championships), you really can't put him with those dudes. Which isn't a horrible thing considering there are MANY other good/great players who aren't on the same pedestal as those guys either.
i agree with most of what you said. as a celtic fan, you made some unbiased logical points.
even though the not 1,not 2 argument to me gets taken out of context.
technically he said it 2 years ago not 9 years ago. so since he said it he has 1 ring. so he has 1 ring 2 years after he said the comment. you can say he is on pace, even though as heat and lebron fan i know its impossible for him to win 8. but its all good let the NON-Basketball Stans hate on the stats and do what they do best.
i am a NBA fan first. respect greatness.
