Stephen King’s It Finally Gets a Proper Big Screen Adaptation | WebProNews

About damn time

Stephen King’s It gave me a serious case of the willies when I was a kid. The idea of a someone attempting to lure children into the sewers is creepy enough, but when you toss Tim Curry as a sinister clown into the mix, the result is downright terrifying. However, a few years ago, I attempted to revisit the flick, hoping it would generate the same terror it did when I was in middle school. Unfortunately, the movie hasn’t aged very well, though Curry is still ridiculously creepy. Besides that, I was a little disappointed.

Now, decades after the book’s publication, “It” is finally getting a big-screen adaptation courtesy of “Sin Nombre” and “Jane Eyre” director Cary Fukunaga. Some of you may balk at the idea of the picture being directed by a guy who previously tackled a Charlotte Bronte novel, though anyone who has seen “Sin Nombre” knows that Fukunaga has serious chops.

Tim Curry owned that sh*t. Not sure what direction they'll go in but it'll be tough to follow that.

yes it was, that movie put clowns out of buisness lol. But on the real, the novel is so much better than the movie. I hope the new adaption is more accurate to the book

scary a.ss movie. Watching it when I was a kid, two scenes that come to mind that gave my young azz nightmares were:

1: when they were kids bird watching, and then go into an old abandoned mansion.

2: As adults, when one of em goes into a house to have tea with an old lady.

I thought the movie was a.ss. I was never one of those kids scared of clowns, but I understood how they could be creepy, especially if they were k!llers. I thought the movie lacked the scaryness
