NBA & ABA Single Season Playoff Leaders and Records for Player Efficiency Rating | Basketball-Reference.com

it's getting real quiet on BX since lebron and the heat are dominating again....................his 2009 postseason was the greatest and he's doing it again image image hakeem got a first round exit in 4 games so it's not that impressive. bron is doing this through 10+ games...........

everyone trying to ignore his greatness this year, he's doing things jordan, duncan, shaq, kobe, etc. could never do...................

and don't complain bout player efficiency rating. it's the best stat to show how great someone is playing..........

speak on it

35, 9, 7 on 51% for 3 rounds that's when he was dropping 50 a game and still lost

it ended with him averaging 38, 8, 8 in the orlando series and not having any help to get the job done he dropped 50 in one game on 65% shooting and lost, but its his fault??

bron is having a great postseason run but player efficiency rating is one of the most overrated and useless statistics. a classic example of the flaw of PER is looking at a guy like dennis rodman.

[pic - click to view]

this is a graph of the 95-96 bulls and a PER for each corresponding player on the team. it has rodman as the 7th best player on the team. not only is that wrong, but it's way off. he has a season PER of 13.6 and a career PER of 14.6 which by hollinger's standards means he is a below average player (anything below a per of 15 is below average). so a guy who is a hall of famer is a below average player according to hollinger's metric? there are plenty of other examples of this and more reasons why it sucks if anyone looks into it.

  147 - 42 STRK: 5 w in a row WIN PCT: 77% 29 (0)
  Career: | Aug 17: 97-57, Rank #29 | Aug 16: 2-0, Rank #224 | Aug 14: 11-8, Rank #285 | Aug 13: 1-0, Rank #480 *

Nothing is perfect fam...no stat is gonna nail it on the head everytime...

but cmon RODMAN and "PER" doesn't make much sense alot of the things he did that made him a HOF player didn't show up in the stat box
