When has KG ever had a decent team till he came to Boston? Of course Tim would own him when it comes to numbers.
He doesn't own him on the numbers, just in wins because his teams have always been wayyy better.

Looks like KG actually outperforms TD individually on average to me

Bottom line... Duncan is far the better player. If you disagree that's fine.

the better question is who likes kg(that are not teammates)
KG > Duncan. Ima KG fan over most PFs.

His passion for basketball has never been matched.. This man may just k!ll himself when he retires.. thats how much he loves the sport and I respect it as a player who loves it also..

Timmy is too placid on the court for me, doesn't mean I don't consider him a legend tho.

First of all according to Tim Duncan he has never fouled anyone in his entire carreer . Also the Spurs pulled a nice little trick and stole the lottery that year to get Duncan . The spurs do have a speciality in stealing championships during lockout years . But they are both great power forwards . Close to the best

so david stern plan was to make the spurs more relevant then they already were

and how do you steal a championship in lockout years? whats the excuse for the other 3

Tim duncan is prob the most passionate basketballer around - you seen the sh*t he did in the past 2 off-seasons just to get in shape and play for another 2-3 years from now.

What y'all don't understand is that Tim Duncan's personality is what makes him so great. Pop chews him out pretty much every practice and tim duncan is a fu*kin future HOF'er. He is completely coachable and doesn't let his ego get in the way of improvement. The example this sets in training to the other guys is what makes the spurs an amazing team.

Don't get it twisted, Pop is an amazing coach, but the culture of the franchise comes from its superstars - if TD wasn't who he was, pop's system would never work and the players around him wouldn't be who they were.

He learned from DRob before him, when to let the team take priority, and when to pass the torch. Right now he's letting Tony run the offense and unlike some superstars (Kobe), knows when to let his teammates come into their own.

BTW, he's also a better shot-blocker, post player (offense and Defense) and passer than KG - (no hate)

educate yourselves a little about the man who doesn't give a fu*k about the limelight before you compare his personality to others, or questin his passion/drive/motivation

The new Sports Illustrated article on the man himself (pretty fu*king good read)

The year Duncan was drafted '97 Robinson was out with a back "injury" for the entire year but was able to golf fine . Im not saying his back was 100% but they saw that season as a wash and decided to get Duncan . And its known they broke CBA rules and practiced as a team during the lockout . I give them there props on there rings but they do some slick sh*t . I see them as being equally good future HOF's they rings dont push make duncan that much better to me . Lets put it this way Who is the better PG Derek Fisher with his 5 rings or John Stockton with his 0 ?

yo both these dudes are playing out of their minds right now, I do hope one of the potential Finals matchups is Spurs vs Celtics so I can see them go at it one last time. Two hall of famers turning back time for all the glory.

That's just fu*king stupid. I hate when people do that sh*t. Duncan has great numbers that are damn near identical to KGs. Duncan was THE reason his teams won championships. In the same way MJ was. Stockton leads or is high up on so many record lists. Fisher is a liefelong role player. Try a real comparison next time.

Ok dont like that comparrison . Lets try Dominique 0 rings to vs. Drexler 1 ring or Rasheed 1 ring vs. Barkley 0 rings . I believe KG and Duncan are equally good PF but people think that because Duncan has more rings he is miles ahead of KG . Duncan had different opportunities that put him instantly in a better situation .
