invalid cause you say it is? olajuwon is clearly better than duncan. olajuwon didn't have an all star teammate when he won his titles. duncan has had way more help than hakeem throughout his career. duncan isn't olajuwon's equal on either end of the floor. regardless it doesn't matter. you thought there were no lists with him in the top 10 shows how much basketball you know.

would duncan have won a ring in 99 if jordan didn't retire then either? why don't we do the right thing and go ahead and just put an asterisk next to everyone who didn't play against michael jordan for a championship?

Yeah the 2002 and 04 spurs was stacked can you name the all stars besides Duncan

And Jordan was in his prime in 99? Everybody knows the bulls would have won 8 straight if Jordan didn't retire

you mean the 2003 and the 2005 spurs? the years they won the title

yea you're right. it's not like duncan had david robinson, parker, and ginobli, malik rose, stephen jackson, bruce bowen or anything like that in those title runs or anything like that.

and oh yea, it's a bona fide matter of fact that the bulls would've won 8 in a row

My GOAT Athlete would be MJ...

But easily the most dominant Athlete that has ever lived was Ruth... He was so far past everyone else that played at the time that it would literally be incomprehensible for most to understand... Not to mention the Bigger Ballparks, Less games in a season, and the actual changing of the baseball to make it easier to hit it out(a.k.a The LIVE Ball Era)... When he was hitting 50 HR's in a season, the next closest guy was only hitting like 15-20... He was also one of the best pitchers in the game...

I fully understand the segregated arguement and Ruth not facing guys like Satchel Paige or competing with someone like Josh Gibson... But it likelly would have made little difference. As already stated, no one walking the Earth was even close to Ruth at the time... You can't understand unless you research it... He was in another world of performance, unlike anything we've ever seen since.

It would be like the 96-97 Bulls playing against a High School Team... That's how dominant Ruth was in his time.

I actually don't even think you should give that to anyone on offense now that I think about it. LT was a good one. I'll give Babe Ruth one thing he wasn't the most athletic player but he did his thing . Ken Burns is a bit biased though.

Bo Jackson is the Mike Tyson of Football. All the flash, none of the longevity.
WHAAT!!!??? The n*gga played like 3 different sports from the collegiate level to the pro level at the same time for over 12 years... The n*gga never had an offseason in his life until like 1990 when he severely injured his hip which ended his football career and he ended up returning to the MLB after the injury which many people thought impossible...

I guarantee if all Bo played was football and he actually stayed away from track and basketball and pro baseball and had an offseason to recover from his grueling football seasons he would have played football a long time... But to be able to play multiple sports at the highest level for 12 years straight is insane

I'm a Jordan fanboy, but honestly he doesn't have the best record when it comes to picking talent or good players.

With that said, Hakeem was a beast and he is arguably the second best player of all time.
I hate when people say that... Jordan was the one who said Durant would be better then Oden when the two were still in college...

He picked Kwame Brown and thats all people talk about... Everybody makes a bad judgment call...
