School wise bro. I'm in my last year and all of my profs say they ditched industry to come to teach because of how miserable and mundane the job is.
I'm too far in to go back plus I'm pushing 30 Gotta keep chugging. I wish I had chosen to become a nurse, a fulfilling job with incredible pay
I feel you my dude..
A lot of my friends from undergrad hate their accounting jobs.. A lot of the jobs are supposedly mundane and don't have much room for moving up within an organization.
But at the very least the job market is stable.
But at the end of the day, what major you take is irrelevant and doesn't qualify you to do anything more than the average Arts/Sci graduate unless you couple that with work experience.
My coworker's little brother did finance at Ivey and he's working as a barista at starbucks.
Compsci is pretty damn good for job prospects though.. With the web & mobile movement, tons of companies need some fresh talent. I think right now the most opportunities may be in programming & web development.
