They should had been ended the $60 tag for video games they didn't start this sh*t until the 360 dropped in '05. Developers go any higher on the price tag, they think their struggling now trying to sell games at $60 they are going to be in serious trouble if games hit the $70 or $80 price tag it's going to be a serious problem.

All of this is just to put an end to gamestop and online business from selling used games. In the long run developers are going to fu*k themselves over by fu*king over the consumers.
You obviously a 90s baby, but snes and n64 games were in the 70 range. This was actually one of the reason sony took market share from nintendo with their $40 games. Then ps3 games were 50, and this Gen with 60.

40 sounds more reasonable to me still these games comes with so much extra DLC that you have to pay for after the game is released.

This is the whole reason I originally took a PSX over the N64. I could get one game for the 64 or two for the PSX for Christmas. With games like Resident Evil being on the PSX it was an easy choice at the time as much as I wanted to play Mario and Zelda. Them damn SNES\N64\Genesis games were all expensive as hell at ToysRUs. I remember getting Sonic 2 at Sears for like $55 when it dropped.

Excuse you but I was born in '82 smart a.ss. Btw, PS3 games were the same as 360, $60 if you're referring to ps & ps2 games they started out at $50.

I know PS 4 will see alot of that day n date stuff with Digital/Boxed...but at this point in the PS 3's lifecycle it's too expensive for Sony to do that...

But when the PS 4 drops for $400 and sells like Columbian prostitues to the secret service....

Sony will be on the right track to being in the black again...
confirmed price?

sh*tttttt. idk i used to get games for $50 i think thats a fair price.
if the video game world wants to see lots of dough again though, they'll need to drop the price fairly, maybe like $40-45

They better not, but something tells me they will....

The last time I bought a new game was when Saints Row 3 released, I took a MONUMENTAL L for buying that game for $60, it wasn't even worth half of that to me, litte/no replay value, so I think I'll just go back to what I was doing before I bought it, wait for the price of (certain, not waiting for price drop on GTA V) games to drop, or continue buying games from the Flea market and pawn shops.

They said in the article that physical sales are down like 10%. The point of the article is that people are moving towards mobile gaming and games like Angry Birds aren't just being played by casual gamers anymore.

I tend to agree. I used to buy every game that interested me. I'd have stacks of games and only play them once because I'd get bored with it.

My new system is I only buy games that I'll play MP exclusively. Games like MW3 and Madden. I preordered the Witcher 2 for the 360 over a month ago and fully paid it off at the time. Now, I've decided that I am just going to move that preorder over to Diablo 3 (I have to get two copies).

It sucks, but I've decided that single player games I am just going to get for my PC.
