^^ but at any given time he could play better than anyone.. you all seen it.. i think the rankings are subjective... you gotta Say A-rod is #1.. than #2 is Brees(at home), away from home he is more like 4-5.. Eli at three cause he continuously outperforms Brady head to head and then Brady 4.. its tough tho cause the order can get switched every week.. i know i watch eli style on the pack in GB, beat the Pats twice, and have the toughest/gutsiest performance i ever seen in SF this year. ELite was getting k!lled that game

and im tired of these sheep saying Eli has a grweat line, and run gamer-- our run game was 32 this year, and Deihl and Mckenzie gave up the most pressures in the league this season, so dead that sh*t:

Avoiding Sacks

It’s something that can’t be discounted; a quarterbacks’ innate ability to avoid taking a sack. In some respects it is what separates the good and great quarterbacks out there, a QB knowing when to get rid of the ball. It’s one of the reasons why Dolphin fans are ready to move on from Matt Moore as he had the highest percentage of pressure turn into sacks (27.3%). He narrowly beat out Blaine Gabbert and Kevin Kolb who finished joint second with figures of 26.1%–the numbers speaking volumes for both men. Gabberts’ lack of pocket presence was as evident as it gets, while Kolb has always struggled with taking sacks.
Pressure Into Sacks, 2011
Rank Name Team Pressured Dropbacks Sacks Sack %
1 Eli Manning NYG 244 28 11.5
2 Michael Vick PHI 199 23 11.6
3 Drew Brees NO 174 24 13.8
4 Rex Grossman WAS 180 25 13.9
5 Josh Freeman TB 204 29 14.2
6 Matt Schaub HST 109 16 14.7
7 Matt Ryan ATL 171 26 15.2
8 Ryan Fitzpatrick BUF 135 21 15.6
9 Philip Rivers SD 181 29 16.0
10 Matt Hasselbeck TEN 112 18

I respect the effort, but your logic is all wrong. There's a reason sack percentage has never been used as an arguing point during any debate. You're just using a stat that makes Eli look good. This stat says nothing about how good a QB is. Try again.

Last I checked, I made cases for Matthew Stafford AND Jay c*ntler to be ahead of Cam Newton. I don't care that Rodgers isn't #1, I even said Eli, Rodgers, Brady and Brees could be jumbled around. My problem is your worthless quarterback being so high. Also, people who haven't even been drafted being on the list. It's just a dumb list overall and that's what EVERYONE in this thread is saying. Go sit down somewhere.

if you read the post, you would know I was using that as an argument fire people that talk about how good his line is... Relax your sounding real insecure right now.. Everyone know rodgers is better than number 5.. There are enough people arguing in here we don't need more

I figured he'd be at least top 3 if not 1 he had to run for his life last year.

This stat makes Aaron Rodgers look like a scrub who takes a lot of sacks.

Stats are misleading, always. The only time they aren't is for non-team sports, or something like a batter's on-base-percentage in baseball. There are always factors in why a QB is taking sacks too, are his WRs getting open? is his offensive line trash? are the plays being called setting him up to be easily sacked? etc. etc. This is why guys like Blaine Gabbert are getting sh*t on. Who was he throwing to? What kind of plays were being run? Who was blocking for him? All scrubs, and a coach who knew he was going to be fired. So it's not hard to understand the kid had no chance.

Eli is definitely an elite QB though, rankings are gay IMO. Rodgers, Eli, Brees, Brady and those guys are all on the same level. Peyton obviously if he's back to his usual self.

You do that with Rodgers

I know romo isn't the best QB.. But he's a lot better than 15... or whatever he is. Romo has one of the best qb ratings of all time. It's his team thats bringing him down. our defense is worst than some high school teams D...
So the defense is the reason why romo only scored 3 points in a playoff game

If Romo and Stafford not top 7 QBs, the list is null and void. Therefore this list is well. Worthless
