50 Cent says he made a lot of mistakes behind the scenes with investing in artists

[pic - click to view]

Personally, I have to be conscious not to overly invest myself in people because I'm personable and I start to develop relationships," Fif revealed in an interview with Rachael Ray. "Let's just say an easy job, a hard job to do, you forget you're working and when people have a comfortable work environment, they do things and you kind of let them go for a while and it kind of becomes uncomfortable and you have to get rid of them. ... [You have] to keep those boundaries [between work and pleasure.] When you're exercising that whistle-while-you-work concept 'cause you're enjoying yourself and you're doing what you're passionate about, it's tough for you to look at each individual's performance and actual space -- there's been a lot of mistakes made in my career that have gone unseen because the projects were successful projects. But people made a lot of mistakes behind the scenes that could have made it a little bigger and better." ("Rachael Ray Show")

The poor guy just doesn't have what it takes to run a record label.

G-Unit records crumbled because of internal bickering, mismanagement, jealousy, and his inability to groom new talent.

He's has to drop the word "actual" in every statement he makes, and I could have told him some of the things he does as far as his label, weren't good ideas, he signed Kidd Kidd..........., he paid Shawty Lo , ran off his most successful artist (The Game) over some silly sh*t, Buck didn't need to be thrown under the bus the way he did him, ect.

poor 50, damn what a failure, g-unit have only sold around 45 million records.
No they haven't, please don't lie to Boxden.

I have access to those numbers and you can check the RIAA for verification.

None of 50-Cents solo albums were released on G-Unit records, Shady/Aftermath/Interscope took those sales for themselves.

*Tried to delete it but I gotcha!*

For some reason whenever I see/hear about G-Unit Records, I think of Spider Loc being "signed", getting "G-Unit" tatted on himself, not knowing that 50 was just using him as a bodyguard on the westcoast, and then being left out in the cold.

G-Unit has sold about 10 million domestically....their last Platinum/Gold year was the year that Game dropped his debut.

Game took the heart out of G-Unit and destroyed them as a Unit and as a brand.

I could care less about the lifestyle he's living, the discussion is about how he ran his record label.

G-Unit Records aint a good label...thats the truth, unless you were there from the beginning.
As If you join now, its gonna take years to release an album and If you get to its supported poorly.
50 doesn't have the time to focus on his artist and develop them.

I swear I don't even bother to click on threads that have Ross/50/G-Unit/ or even Race/BlackMan/WhiteMan in the title, because some pathetic self-hating n*gga would already be in.

50 should of just found sum go getters n not these babys that need to be cuddled

its funny tho cuz every real n*gga that 50 tried to scoop got scooped up..if u look at it he aint do bad at runnin a label...everybody that dropped a album went plat or gold there first time out...thats a win in my book...i think the money n the power went to his head n he scooped up sum bad artist plus 50 doing like a million things at one time so music doesnt even get 100 percent of his time

I think FIF was buying backup and allies, he went and signed Mazarati Fox if I'm correct and Shawty Lo and neither of them dropped anything.
