Naw Ross do have 2 albums better than Jay's KC,AG, BP2,BP3, VOL1,WTT, BOBW...

Port Of Miami and Deeper Than Rap are his best albums and right up there with Black Album, however less commercial

Teflon Don was average...as was Self Made Vol1...
u gotta be kidding me....

deeper than rap on the same level as the black album?

fu*king k!ll yourself.

Rick Ross is boring and untalented as fu*k as a rapper, not to mention that he's a fu*king fraud yet people still listen to him... meaning that they tolerate that sh*t and potentially are fakers themselves

And thats not even considering the greats (its offensive to even compare Ross to these artists) such Eminem or Biggie

Rick Ross raps clearly fraudulent lyrics (selling dope right of the iphone..wtf?), has a boring monotone flow on most songs that make you fall asleep.

I bet when he comes back from a concert or a club or whatever, he looks into the mirror in his bathroom when hes without his glasses and chains and just bursts out crying because he knows hes faking 100%, all of the time.

If we are talking about Hip Hop TODAY (2011-12) then yes I would agree that Rick Ross is consistent. He consistently puts out music for the fans to hear. He's released 2 mixtapes since he's last album (I think) and his been on many features as well. I believe Ross has gotten better over the years and he showing what hard work can get you in this game. Today's Jay-z is not consistent. He doesn't release mixtapes for the fans and he may jump on a few features here but no REAL music until it's time to release the next project. Basically Jay's revenue is not based soul off music so he makes alot of moves in other directions (which ends up hurting his music in my opinion).

WITH THAT SAID.....with some of the comments that were being made.....

Ross has no classic albums
BP, AG, RD, Vol.2, Black Album, The Dynasty >>>> any Rick Ross album
Ross's career is not (nor will it ever) anywhere close to Jay-z career.
Ross's best verse was on Free Mason and in my opinion Jay-z still won that one. Still a close one.....
Lyrically Ross has improved over the years but he's not on Jay's level with that either.
That fact that Jay-z has been doing this since 96(reasonable doubt and prior to that) and is still relevant shows consistently in itself.
Rick can't be compared to any legend without a classic album under his belt(and that includes BIG.....shut that sh*t down quick).

I'm a fan of both artists. I agree in TODAY's Hiphop Rick Ross is more consistent. That doesn't mean he's a better artist though. You can't compare him to any legend of the game.....yet. He needs to earn his stripes but he's on the right track. Lets not forget who we are talking about here......

One thing that is always consistent is opinions based on demographics.

The Industry/Artists are consistent in their opinion on Ross music

The Blog-Geeks/Nerds are consistent in their opinion on Ross music

The Streets/Community are consistent in their opinion on Ross music

Depending on which demographic you belong to accounts for the average opinion on a 99% clip.

Rappers who cater to the streets and have music that is more Compatible to the
Cars, Clubs, & Concerts typically don't get the recognition they deserve on blogs & forums were bloggers are more likely to appreciate music more suited for headphones and non-social settings.

Joe Budden, LIL B, Lupe, Kreayshawn & Tyler are Internet favorites because their music is more suited to the tastes of the average Internet blogger.

Very good point!!! :applause::applause::applause:

havent heard someone make such a coherent argument on boxden for a while.

However, from my personal point of view, there is room for both headphone and club/social types of music.

There are times at which I will listen to the one or the other. But when it comes to Rick Ross, his music definitely caters the streets/clubs because there is 0 lyrical content.
However, I feel that his flow and delivery is quiet monotone, repetitive and boring... the only thing that saves him are the beats, but that shouldnt be enough (and isnt).

Young Cheezy Man stop playing

Biggie didnt have 4 albums and eminem show and encore sole great cause he's the white boy but those albums are wack

You taking this rap stuff too serious 95% of these rappers arent still doing what they rap about. You think Jay still buying cole or Eminem really jacking off watching the disney channel?

fu*k is this cracka talking about...soon as he interviews jay again rosenberg will jump back on his d!ck. I lost respect for rosenberg because of this.

It must be hard to be in the position Hov is in...no other hip hop artist in history has been consistent that long and as soon as a new n*gga (ross) gets like 2 summers under his belt n*ggas question hov's consistency

peter rosenberg is officially a fu*kin idiot

ill have to agree with old dude on the consistency issue...jay is my man hands down, but Ross is just commin up...jay already been there done that. he even said you want his old sh*t, go buy those albums. i listen to both, but Ross droppin a gang of mixtapes that go hard, if not better than the albums.

now if you comparing jay's first few albums to Rozays? Ima ride with Jay; but if you talking about now; Ima ride with Rozay on consistency. Jays last few albums went plat of course, but not to my liking.
