lol @ complaing about the one and done rule if its such a problem then bring it back to letting them come out of highschool

NBAPA wont allow this give an inch and these muthafu*kas want to take a mile
Co muthafu*king sign

Kids should have the freedom to showcase their talents in a professional league the second they leave high school. The two overheads in the NCAA and NBA only care about money and exposure. Most of the time when high school kids went straight to the pros and busted, they were getting terrible advice and really overhyped themselves

I think all major sports should set it up how the NFL does things. If you've been out of high school 3 years, you're eligible.

1. THey can still goto college and get a education.
2. You really think these guys get a education in college? Most don't even goto class, fu*k D rose cant even read!
3. Higher education should not be forced its a individuals choice. Is that education helping them in their career? no. So why must they get it?
4. Why should NBA players be forced to get something that no one else is forced to do. A lot of people are successful without college whether its going to a trade school or just getting on the job experience. Baseball players, swimmers, hockey players, gymnast etc. aren't required to goto college, why is different for basketball players?
bball is tha only sport where everybody becomes an instant millionaire.over 60% of these guys go broke just 3 years after theyre careers are over and more and more veterans get forced out cause of a 3 year guaranteed contract.these dudes dont neccesarily need a college education, but they do need time somewhere to at least grow up

So you can go to Iraq and get your limbs blown off at 18 years old but you can't make a living as a pro basketball player?! Here is an idea.. The NCAA should set up some kind of trust fund account for College student athletes where they pay them while they make millions of dollars for their schools. They can have access to the money once they are done with school... NCAA = Slavery and that's why most student athletes are 1 and done!!

says who? College has more horrible players come out than highschool. Dudes who win the title and break school records. Get to the pros and just absolutely sucks like Sean May, and Sheldon Williams. And the NBA game is different from the college game, only thing is most highschool players have the highest expectations from the hype so when they suck it's magnified.

Like someone said earlier in the thread, Have it where kids who come straight out of high school go the the D league for a year. And if they decide to go to college, they gotta stay two or three years.

changing the age dont do nothing but help the NCAA make more money. Colleges make millions off their athletes while athletes receive no payment, doesn't sound fair to me.

They should either Adapt something similar to MLB except maybe make it you have to stay 2 yrs, or they should have some sort of panel consisting of Former and Current players than can approve or deny those wanting to come out of high school. This way the Lebrons, D.Rose, Kgs, etc wont have to waste any of their time in college (Not that DRose or KG didnt need further education) and the people who arent as good will have to still at least go to college a year.

Edit: To Solve this all the NCAA could pay the players, although we all know that wont happen
