People still saying Eminem? I'm going to address the elephant in the room and just keep it 100%..

Em's only impact on hip-hop was making blacks and minorities aware that just how many white people support the hip-hop culture. Honestly I didn't think anyone really knew to much unless they actually went to a concert of some of their favorite artist. I honestly don't know one single black man who openly says he fu*ks with Em's music, almost like they are ashamed to bump that sh*t in the public. Ask yourself, how many black guys have you driven beside with them banging some Eminem out their systems?

That's the only impact this man made in Hip Hop..

you cant say an artist influenced hiphop if you dnt look at their album sales... In reality 50 Cent with his G-Unit imprint had the most imfluence... The man sold 40mil record under G-Unit from 2003-2010, introduced the world to the Mixtape circuit (classics at that) which almost every new hiphop/rap artist does these days... Challenged every n*gga in the game jus to get to the top including Kanye, Kanye jus became more famous after the album sales battle they had in 2007 which if you go by world wide sales Fif won. He had the highest debut album for a hiphop artist ever, sold over a million on hes 2nd album in its 1st week and had every rap artist shook.

Kanye did nothing new, he produces and raps, J.D did that, Dr Dre did that, he made an autotune album T-Pain did that. The only influence Kanye had in the rap game is after his feud with 50 he basicly turned the game into gay festival cause if you honest with yourself alot of people wanted to get rid of G-Unit when they was on top so the industry backed Kanye and along came all the soft motherfucckers you see today (Wayne, Drake, Big Sean etc).

You really have to hate Fif if you dnt think he had the biggest influence, MIXTAPES was the influence of the DECADE fu*k your personal feelings

remember when Kanye was criticized early in his career for wear polos n ****, basically what is openly accepted in hip hop. Back in the early 2000's, tall tees, the 5xls and basically baggy clothes was the norm. Kanye made it mainstream to rock fitted clothing imo. Actually look at the game now with skinny jean and the crazy fads now. Makes you think how the game be changing

Be mad.

sales have more to do with how much they impact pop culture than hip hop, being played 24/7 and having a big fan base doesn't mean you're doing anything for hip hop, it just adds to your personal accolades. so can you please explain why album sales mean so much? as long as you're relevant and able to put your all in to the genre, that should matter more than 50 cent having the highest selling debut because it's not like hip hop took after that, sales are drastically lower for every other rapper not backed by Jimmy Iovine.

not even gonna reply to the rest of that stupid comment

Eminem and even 50 cent owned the 2000s especially the beginning you must be 12
If you think about it look at the timeline, Kanye was consistent & relevant from 2003-2010 (still going)

Eminem dropped his best album in 2000, Eminem Show in 2002 and Invasion! (Mixtape) so he did okay from 2000-2003 (not including the signing of 50 Cent)

50 Cent became relevant around 2002 (His G-Unit Mixtapes: No Mercy, 50 Cent Is The Future, God's Paln, etc) and blew up on the scene in 2003. His run musically was from 2003-2006. In 2007 50 Cent & Kanye went head to head in records sales and we all know who won.

Kanye makes hits for himself & others. His run in 2004 alone gives 50 Cent a run for his money

Dude, that sing/rap was done way before kanye did it. Just because he did a whole CD of it doesn't mean he created it.

I didnt know yeezy made that let the beat build..
apparently what happened is kanye handled the part with the sample. then wayne producer did the framework of the track, and finally kanye kind of cleaned it up. so he wasn't fully responsible for the track only partial.

you're being ignorant .. I know more black people that RELATE to eminem then whites. He grew up poor as fu*k in detroit...

of course white people support hip-hop culture.. you think 2pacs 80 million records sold are from blacks? Get the fu*k out of here acting like quality has nothing to do with record sales are you that dense?

I aint saying being white doesn't help but get of the racist tip it is not the soul factor not even close and if you think so then you're blatantly wrong..

some of you are reaching use your damn brains or grow the fu*k up.

.
Aint no black people relating to popping pills, living in a mobile home, suicide and wanting to k!ll their mom fu*k outta here.. In fact I don't remember the last time a Em track was played in a black club. The skills are undeniable, he's one of the GOATS, but these are facts.

what did Em influence then? Yea he brought us 50, but besides that what was his major influences? Album sales is not an influence. Only one influence he's made was showing white kids that they can make it too in the rap game with a decent skillset. It's not playing the race card, but race AND skill plays a major role in his success. If he wasn't white he wouldn't attain the level of success he's had, thats just being real. When Em came out he was an anomaly, we've never seen a WHITE RAPPER with his skillset. That was part of his package, apart of what made HIM special.
