the bush tax cuts that have been the last 12 years and the wars destroyed this country period

damn shame that obama kept those bush tax cuts all four years in office. he failed every democrat that voted for him. he kept republican economic policies in place the whole time he was in there dont worry boxden folks you will get ur wish in november when your republican president doubles down on those bush tax cuts and make them even worse than they are today
If you think bush is the reason we are in this mess, then your a lost cause.
Did you know that every time Bush cut taxes, the US Government got more money in the treasury? (lower taxes=more Tax dollars recieved, every time in US history)
Go look it up, IRS.gov Obama even admitted it in an interview in 2008.

but really Lower Taxes=More money, Go to IRS or usgovernmentrevenue.com and look it up. Happened under Reagan too

Can't obviously lower it to an extreme but EVERY TIME

Dude, yes it would effect gas prices, we wouldn't have to even import any oil?

Every time new Oil has got on the Global Market the price has went down.

Its just like almost Weed, sh*ts way cheaper in Cali than North Dakota. Spectators have plenty to due with prices, Just like a dealers can get together and jack up prices if they have enuff control on the market.

And fu*k we shouldn't get OIL from the Iranians, They're not really the best of ppl, given the whole whip Israel of the map and building nukes issue
You do know emerging markets like Indiana and China are also a huge reason for gas increases right? We aren't the only country using large amounts of oil. If you think we can drill our way to cheaper prices, you don't know what you're talking about. And weed is nothing like oil. you lost with that comparison lol

Reagan raised taxes 8 times lol WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? Lower taxes=more money? FALSE. if it was true we would have lots of revenue since tax rates are historically low.

what are you talking about?

From CNN
Soon after taking office in 1981, Reagan signed into law one of the largest tax cuts in the postwar period.
That legislation -- phased in over three years -- pushed through a 23% across-the-board cut of individual income tax rates. It also called for tax brackets, the standard deduction and personal exemptions to be adjusted for inflation starting in 1984. That would reduce "bracket creep" since the high inflation of the 1970s and early 1980s meant incomes rose very fast, pushing taxpayers into ever higher brackets even though the real value of their income hadn't changed.
The 1981 bill also made certain business deductions more generous.
In 1986, Reagan lowered individual income tax rates again, this time in landmark tax reform legislation.
As a result of the 1981 and 1986 bills, the top income tax rate was slashed from 70% to 28%.
Dude Obama even admitted in in 2008 while campaigning that it was true, Swear to God.
Im looking for interview right now.

1. Reagan was a serial tax raiser. As governor of California, Reagan “signed into law the largest tax increase in the history of any state up till then.” Meanwhile, state spending nearly doubled. As president, Reagan “raised taxes in seven of his eight years in office,” including four times in just two years. As former GOP Senator Alan Simpson, who called Reagan “a dear friend,” told NPR, “Ronald Reagan raised taxes 11 times in his administration — I was there.” “Reagan was never afraid to raise taxes,” said historian Douglas Brinkley, who edited Reagan’s memoir. Reagan the anti-tax zealot is “false mythology,” Brinkley said
Unemployment soared after Reagan’s 1981 tax cuts. Unemployment jumped to 10.8 percent after Reagan enacted his much-touted tax cut, and it took years for the rate to get back down to its previous level. Meanwhile, income inequality exploded. Despite the myth that Reagan presided over an era of unmatched economic boom for all Americans, Reagan disproportionately taxed the poor and middle class, but the economic growth of the 1980′s did little help them. “Since 1980, median household income has risen only 30 percent, adjusted for inflation, while average incomes at the top have tripled or quadrupled,” the New York Times’ David Leonhardt noted.
Reagan is idolized as some great leader, but whats odd is if he ran today he would be called a socialist and a radical. His tax breaks exploded income equality, and accounted for big rises in unemployment. Hence why he raised taxes later.

I'm not gonna watch a Bill O'reilly interview guy is a clown of the highest degree. Also how are you gonna attribute unemployment decline in 1980 to tax cuts in 1981? that makes no sense.

also
But in the face of large and growing deficits, Reagan eventually did come around on the need for additional revenue. Even before the 1981 tax cut was on the books, many White House advisers had begun to worry about projected deficits, which were on a steady upward march from 2.6 percent of gross domestic product in 1981 to 4 percent in 1982. They would reach 6 percent in 1983.

So, just weeks after his Santa Barbara signing ceremony, Reagan floated the possibility of -- wait for it -- closing loopholes. He was careful to avoid any suggestion that he wanted a tax increase. Instead, he and his advisers asked Congress for "revenue enhancements."

Euphemisms can obscure a variety of sins. And Reagan's euphemist, Larry Kudlow -- then an official in the Office of Management and Budget -- was unrepentant. "There's no better way to sell economic theory than by the euphemistic route," he told the New York Times.

This allowed for a major tax increase, the largest in four decades, in 1982. The Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act raised an average of $47 billion in each of the four years after it was enacted.

Over the remainder of his presidency, Reagan would go on to sign a series of such increases, ultimately taking back about half of his 1981 tax cut, according to economist and historian Bruce Bartlett. The 1981 legislation marked a watershed in federal taxation, capping an era of tax cuts and starting a new one of increases. As economist Jerry Tempalski has noted, of the nine major tax laws enacted from 1968 to 1981, six reduced federal revenue. By contrast, nine of the 11 major tax laws introduced from 1982 to 1993 increased revenue.

Didn't Bush inherit a surplus? Then his bad judgements lead to 9/11, The war in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the relaxed wall street laws that lead to the housing mess which subsequently lead to our recession?.....Oh yeah, he left right after that. Don't believe the hype

I love how Democrats blamed Bush for gas prices when he was in office

Stop acting like your party didn't do all of the exact same sh*t. I can understand the hate for Bush, but I can also understand the hate for Obama. For some reason you seem to always be on Obamas nuts.

And I do think the people blaming Obama more than Bush are crazy, but cmon, Obama campaigned on not raising the debt ceiling and getting spending under control and not havng lobbyists in Washington, and now look at him.

I'm not a democrat, so its not my "party" and I didn't blame bush for Gas prices. Like I've said 100's of times I know its controlled on a global market. not much a president can do short term. He didn't campaign on not raising the debt ceiling, he voted against it before but he didn't campaign for it. And I'm on Obamas nuts cause I use fact over nonsense? Yeah ok.

I see TEFRA in 1982.
The ERTA (Economic Recovery Tax Act Of 1981 - ERTA) was a piece of tax legislation that greatly lowered income tax rates, and all very high rates were given a maximum of 50%. The TEFRA modified aspects of the ERTA which caused concern over potential large budget deficits.
TEFRA increased the tax received but not the tax rates. This was done by removing some of the tax breaks businesses received in the ERTA, such as the increase in the amount of accelerated depreciation that a company could deduct.

Dude really your really that closed minded? I watch sh*t about ppl i disagree with all the time?
