True, although I think Bush and Obama are more to blame than Clinton, but he's still partially to blame.

I hate this blame the former president game.

But if we're going to play that game, then lets start with Jimmy. In the 70s, Carter started the Community Reinvestment Act. This allow poor people to buy affordable home. Then in the 90s, Clinton shot this program with steroids. Alloaing unregulatex mortgage practice. Allowing huge numbers of sub-prime loans to anybody with a pulse, Fanny and Crexdy had a free reign to write whatever they wanted. This was then practiced by all the major banks to make that quick buck. Anybody remember Frank and Dodd?

When the Republicans objectex and caution about uncertain future through this practice, they were basically told to shut up. Then Bush came into office and immidately he tried to control the mortgage time bomb. Again they were told to shut up. B. FRANK claim this waz the best thing to happen to all would be home owners and it would turn our country into best market for home ownership. In 2003, NY congressman and Alan Greenspan warned of mortgage problems and again B.Frank shot it down. Then in 2006, even John McCain chimex in with the same response from Frank. Finally in 2008 the mortgage industry took a massive crap.

The subprime mortgage deal was Frank and Dodd's baby and that baby k!llex the housing market.

Also rigbt before Bush was elected, we went through a little bubble pop called the dotcom bust. This monster was raised by the Clinton admin and 6 months before Bush got in office, it blew up.

Then 9/11 happened.

Bush may of been an idiot but isnt the idiot who started the mess. He had the mess dropped on his lap just like Obama had it dropped in his. But everybody wants to thrash Bush but give Obama a pass and put the blame on the former potus.

I dont care which potus did what. I only care about what the current one is doing and so far current isnt doing any better then the former. This is what is important and not the blame game.

These articles are stupid. The way people look at is dumb.

Yes, the dollar amount of debt may be greater, however the % is less. That's what's important, not the dollar amount.

Bush took the debt from $5.7 Trillion to $10.6 Trillion. Meaning under Bush's presidency the debt increased 86%

Now the debt is at $15.56 trillion from $10.6. Meaning under Obama's presidency the debt has increased 46.8% so far.

Also when Obama took office the economy was going down hill. The economy can not just sling shot back up. Bush dug a hole for the U.S., the economy now has to bottom out slowly and gradually come back.

These articles are always skewed.

Subprime mortgage and the housing market isnt what really caused the recession tho

a 10% foreclosure rate isnt enough to plunge the economy into severe recession

what fu*ked things up was the leverage and the shadow banking system which had derivatives based on housing based securities

and that has nothing to do with any government intervention. Actually the opposite,it was the lack of government intervention allowing the private sector to basically loot the economy

No that's selective history with a bullsh*t spin, Obama hasn't done any better than Bush? Facts beg to differ. And Bush had a mess dropped on him? Maybe, but he didn't help it by starting two unfunded wars, on top of the enormous medicare part d plan.

And for those saying you can't blame Bush now for the debt being this high because it's now Obama's fault....YOU'RE WRONG.

Bush's decisions in his terms such as the war carried over into Obama's. The money that went into the Iraq war is still increasing in Obama's term because the Iraq war still exists. So portions of the current increasing debt are still due to Bush's presidency.

But under the Clinton admin there was a surplus. When Bush took office he nearly doubled the debt after a striving economy and a surplus. That's how bad he was.

I'm not a fan of Obama, I think all politicians are pretty much the same. But Bush was definitely worse than Obama. The facts speak for themselves.

The economy has recovered you idiot. The Great Recession began in '07 under Bush and ended under Obama in '09.

Stop talking out of you as*hole. The national debt should be the least of your concerns. You're too caught up with how things are versus the plans being set in motion.

Regardless of whomever would have been in office, the debt would be the same today. Democrats in Congress would have hounded McCain or Romney just like Republicans do Obama today. Everyone has a general idea of one thing; the economy cannot recover without money being spent. It's almost a fact.
Sorry, but there has yet to be a full recovery in the U.S. economy, scrub.

The national debt should be a big concern for every U.S. citizen, who cares about their own well-being. The debt level is directly linked to the lifestyle of its citizens, because the government usually gets their spending money from its citizens. Have you not read any economic history? I doubt if you read at all, beyond internet skimming.

Federal spending is one of the number one causes of the economic downturn. Go fu*kin read a book retard.

Obama is irrelevant, because he is the executor of the goals of a hidden group, while u dumb n*ggas expect him to do something good or bad, it doesn't matter.

RIght, and they didn't ever blame GW Bush???

But for real, Def not directly Obama's fault but if he would have 'Drill Baby Drilled' when he got elected we would definitely not be in such a bad situation.

We got 110 Trillion barrels of oil in the North America, and the whole middle east has 200 Billion. We could easily be energy independent.

But you can for Food stamps, So many ppl could get off them if he would start fixing the fu*kin economy

Im sure people blamed bush for things he didn't control, but for one food stamps under Bush

We asked the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food and Nutrition service for month-by-month figures going back to January 2001. And they show that under President George W. Bush the number of recipients rose by nearly 14.7 million. Nothing before comes close to that.
If Obama is the food stamp president, then Bush is the planes flying into Buildings president. Obama isn't running through towns handing out foodstamps, the economy hit the sh*tter (thanks in part to the previous admin) which then left people out of work etc. so they qualified for Food stamps. The only thing Obama could do is raise the requirements to get them, that is all. Obama with his many faults has offered up jobs bills even offered entitlement cuts, all of which where turned down.
and "Drill baby drill" does nothing, oil is sold on a GLOBAL market, you can't drill yourself into cheaper prices. And we are producing more domestic oil than in the previous 8 years, foreign oil consumption is also down. The reason prices are high are A. Speculators like the Koch brothers, who just coincidentally are huge funders of the Tea Party and B. people threatening war with Iran.

Dude, yes it would effect gas prices, we wouldn't have to even import any oil?

Every time new Oil has got on the Global Market the price has went down.

Its just like almost Weed, sh*ts way cheaper in Cali than North Dakota. Spectators have plenty to due with prices, Just like a dealers can get together and jack up prices if they have enuff control on the market.

And fu*k we shouldn't get OIL from the Iranians, They're not really the best of ppl, given the whole whip Israel of the map and building nukes issue
