Asteroids are always "Close to impact" . I'm sorry but 17,000 miles isn't exactly close :/...They make this sh*t sound like it's going to be right over our heads and sh*t. Nothing is going to happen. Ain't sh*t happening on december 21st, either. :/ I swear you people will believe anything you're told....
no, in space 17000 miles is like the house down the street from you, that is extremely close.

however there have been a few asteroids even bigger and closer, but all it takes is a small change in course for sh*t to get ugly.

hello arrogant d!ckhead

this is exactly what ive read about the Tunguska blast...

sorry i stated Nagasaki and not Hiroshima. i read about this a couple months ago... didnt know this "pop quiz" was gonna be graded.

and as for the 830 sq miles... i said 600+ because i wasnt exactly sure... i thought i remembered reading 650 or something like that. but from my understanding 600+ sq miles means 600 or more sq miles.

so sorry i didnt state the exact square mileage because i wasnt sure. and as for stating the size of the blast, sorry i said the wrong city that got bombed...

but to be honest, im sitting here and looking at the size of the bombs... and theyre not that much different. the Little boy bomb was about 3/4ths the size of the Fat Man.

[pic - click to view]

the fat man and the little boy are very close in size...

now for saying the Tunguska blast was 1000 x's more powerful than Hiroshimas blast, which was 12-15 kt of TNT. if thats the case... the T blast was around 12-15,000 kt (12-15 megatons). the Tsar bomb was 50,000 kt of TNT.... which 12-15,000 kt is about 1/3rd of.

and even by saying Nagasaki, and being the Fat Man bomb which was 20-22 kt of TNT, i still wasnt that far off by saying the T Blast was 1000 x's stronger than it... especially since they arent sure of the actual size of the T Blast.

now, please calm the fu*k down and take the p*nis out of your a.ss.

The rock's closest approach to the planet is scheduled for February 15, 2013, when the distance between the planet and space wanderer will be under 27,000 km (16,700 miles). This is lower than the geosynchronous orbit kept by the Google Maps satellite.

Oh...and the asteroid is nonsense like the rest of these false alarms...
