Ahhhh, nope. If anything, the race is tight between Viola Davis and Michelle Williams.
I would've said don't forget Rooney Mara but Viola was TERRIFIC in The Help

Viola Davis might actually win? I really thought Streep was going to take it this year.

I was pulling for Jonah Hill playing a composite of four different people, but I'm glad Plummer got it.

She might... it could be a pity prize for all the times she was nominated and The Weinsteins are on their side, but she won already. Viola Davis might be the Academy's attempt at being politically correct, and give her the award because only one black woman has ever won.

And Michelle Williams is possible too, because the Weinsteins are behind it too.

Do you think either deserve it? I didn't think Michelle Williams was going to get an Oscar for portraying Marilyn.

I'm still depressed about that. Depressed sounds like a strong word but I'm dead serious. Was a tragedy how that movie won over Goodfellas

Well, nobody who "deserves" to win get nominated...... They do if they get lucky. In fact, Rooney Mara is lucky to even be there. I think she should get it, because her role took TOTAL commitment. So, I'd say she deserves it, but she won't win... Unfortunately.

Last year was the one year I thought they got it right when Natalie Portman won.

I'll give you that, but as for the most impressive use of visual effects, I'd give it to 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes'.
