You know nothing of basketball...or sports if you don't think good players have been overlooked before or come out of nowhere. People would even look at Lin and not give him a chance
The kid was averaging 27 points and 8 a.ssists coming out the gate. He is the reason the Knicks were winning. To take that away from him is pretty sad
for the last time im not taking anything away from him. im being realistic. obviously people get overlooked, but theres always people that only flourish under certain circumstances. chris duhon was borderline all star status before he came back to reality. now hes practically a ghost. the fact is if anything causes this kid to stop performing like this, itll be the media coverage and the not so die hard fans that are the cause of it for gassing him up. theres not a chance in HELL he lives up the expectations people are setting for him now. and thats going to affect him eventually. hell, with 10 turnovers its probably already affecting him.
for him to come out and average 25-8 or whatever it is, is unreal. im just pointing out there were a lot of factors aiding him. the system, the fact our top 2 scorers were out and there were more points to go around. its not him i have the issue with, its the people hyping it. hes not going to average 25 and 10 lol thats being real. and if anyone thinks he will, you dont know basketball. if that makes me a hater, so be it. we'll be lucky if he averages 13 and 8, with under 4 turnovers when melo comes back.
obviously there not gonna even think about trading him, from the marketing stand point alone. he could not do sh*t the rest of the year and hes more than made dolan money from the sh*t thats sold already. my point was we are never the team to trade when stock is high. we're the team that trades players after their stock drops, and then they resurge somewhere else.
ill be the first to admit im wrong 2 months from now if hes still ballin like this. but i know none of you guys will say a peep if its the other way around.
