oh so why couldn't the great jordan beat them in 84,85,86,87,88,89,90? Oh he had to wait till that team was larry holmes like. Also he had to wait for pippen & phill jackson to arrive to get him over the hump. :greetings10:

What great teams did Lebron have to go through? The 80's teams Jordan couldn't beat were some of the greatest teams of ALL TIME. The mid 80's celtics with Bird,Mchale,Parrish,Danny Ainge & the Bad Boy pistons. Not to mention the Barkley sixers and the early to mid 80's bucks that were the only team to EVER sweep the Celtics when Bird was there.

What all-time great teams held Bron back from winning his titles?? The Dwight Howard X Hedo Magic? Dirks Mavericks?Boston's big 3 ?(while good don't hold a candle to the 80's teams Jordan faced). The only team that can maybe be called all time great were the Spurs he faced in the finals and got utterly exposed by.

This n*gga SeaJaiye is riding Lebrons nuts like ive never seen before!! Woww. Its cool to be a fan but buddy is taking it to a whole different level. Lebron is just about at his peak right now. If they dont win a chip this year, I dont know if they will ever get one. The Heat seem to play better with just Lebron/Bosh or Wade/Bosh. When all 3 of them are on the floor its basically just flat out too many options. Although I think Bosh is still a f*g, he has stepped up big time

To make a long story short, Lebrons legacy will never be that of Jordan/Kobe simply because he decided to leave HIS team in Cleveland to head to D Wades team. Instead of doing it on his own, the "Chosen 1"/"King" decided to team up with other superstars to bring one home. Imagine if he sticked it out in Cleveland and brought some trophies there. His legacy would have been HUGE!!! Would have made the appeal of big players going to small market teams and making them champions a lot more popular. Now, the mind frame of going to already prominent team seems like the way to go if you want a ring

Couple points:

1. n*ggas actually tried to say Reggie Miller wasn't competition? Huh? That statement right there DISQUALIFIES you from speaking on 90's basketball. Reggie was nice as fu*k. Sweetest shot in the game. Best off-the-ball offensive player... maybe ever. CLUTCH (something people arguing for Lebron obviously don't care about, but it matters kids).

2. You can bring up centers when talking about MJ's direct competition, because back in those days, when Jordan went to the hole, he had to actually deal with them. Now, the center isn't in the lane, so if one comes in to contest Lebron slashing to the rim, he's coming from a sh*tty angle, and he's gonna get a foul called on him, for even approaching the rim to contest Lebron. So yeah... if you judge it by today's standards, mentioning the center seems stupid... but if you understand 90's basketball, you know, the center was KEY to the defense, and EVERY SINGLE TIME Jordan went to the rim, out of the set offense, he basically had to jump OVER the center to score. Not to mention, the Bulls low post presence was always lackluster on Jordan's teams, so they could always cheat towards the middle, and be ready for Mike coming in. You didn't really have to worry too much about Bill Wenington, Luc Longley and them lighting you up, if you cheated off them. So yeah... it kinda matters.

3. RINGS MATTER.

The whole point of the sport is to win rings, not to get the best personal stats possible. If you judge just off of the stat sheet, YOU are missing the point. If your stats don't translate into rings, then they're just empty numbers. Well... not empty... but they don't mean as much. Look at baseball. When it's all said and done, Derek Jeter is a legend. He's one of the best players of all time. He didn't have the greatest range at shortstop. He didn't hit for power. He was a great average hitter, but not at all-time great level or anything. There honestly isn't anything about him, that you can find in the stats, that would put him at ALL-TIME great level... yet... he's an all-time great... because he's a WINNER. At the end of the day, the point is to WIN, and if your game isn't BUILT around that, and at its BEST when it's time to WIN, that matters.

Lebron will get his rings. Probably starting this year. But if he's not THE reason for the rings, it doesn't stand up in the same way. I'm not trying to hate on Bron... it just is what it is. If Lebron steps up, and is a REASON for the win, when it comes down to it, it'll be a notch in his belt. A way to start solidifying his legacy. We'll see. I hope he can do it. As of now, though... you can't put Lebron into this discussion. You can't put him over a BUNCH of players. I don't see how you put Lebron over Russel, Bird, Magic, Shaq, sh*t.. even Hakeem right now. I just don't see it. The point of the sport is to WIN. If you don't win.. then obviously you're lacking somewhere. Yeah.. it's a team sport, obviously... but if you're talking about being the GREATEST EVER, then you transcend. The players I listed were transcendent players. You put Larry Bird on those Cavs teams, he wins a least once. You put Magic on the Heat last year, he doesn't lose to the Mavs. You throw Mike on that team, they win 75 in the regular season, and maybe lose 2 games total, in the playoffs.

4. Lebron James is a fu*king freak of nature. Quick as fu*k. Big as fu*k. There is no reason he shouldn't be the best player in the league. Honestly.. there's no reason he shouldn't be the greatest player of all-time, just given his physical gifts.

Yet, somehow.... he's not. I think that working with Hakeem over this offseason might be a HUGE step towards getting him to Jordan's level (gotta pass Kobe first of course), because it gives him a post game. The fact that his big a.ss hasn't developed one, up until now... is fu*king retarded. Lebron is too quick to put a big man on him to guard... so he ALWAYS has to be guarded by people that are smaller than him (hell... 90% of the league is smaller than him).. back those n*ggas down, take your HIGH percentage shot, finish (like you do better than almost anyone) and then go to the line. It's such a simple formula. The BEST players are also the smartest... and Lebron has been an idiot, not developing a low post game, until now.

With a low post game, Lebron will be, BY FAR (honestly), the most talented/skilled player to ever play the game. This is almost undeniable.

5. Still.... even with the most skill and talent, there's heart. Lebron doesn't have that k!ll switch in him... and he doesn't have enough personal pride to really be a winner. He wants to be buddies with everyone.

Joining the Heat, instead of trying his hardest to build his own, pit it against whatever the fu*k is out there, and be GREATER than it all... is just proof of his lack of heart. A REAL competitor would never have taken that route. Bottom line. Can't beat 'em, join 'em? GTFO with that.

Also, how are you 6'8", 250 lbs, flopping on the court? How do you flop when mixed up with Derrick Rose? No fu*king heart.

When Jordan came to the lane, he was looking to fly the fu*k over you.. and he was willing to risk taking whatever hit you were gonna throw at him. Hell, when fu*king little-ass Allen Iverson came into the lane, yeah, he was looking to avoid contact as best as possible since everyone down low was twice his size, but when he saw no other way, he went in, took a beating and finished anyway. He didn't try to make it look like he got fouled when he didn't.

!

Somebody in contention for the GREAT PLAYER EVER.... does this?

When Jordan D'd up against a strong player, he didn't look to flop every time there was some contact (and plenty of times when there was zero contact at all). He took it as a personal challenge, to shut the player down. He played hard defense, and he took pride in that. No flopping. No bi*ch sh*t. Just tough defense... and if he got beat, he got beat... worked 3 times as hard for the next time he met up with that player, and put in his all the next time (and likely got the better).

Lebron has ZERO of that drive and pride in his game, and it shows. It comes across in so many ways. The HEART of a champion is real. James doesn't have that.

With the post game improving, he'll have all the skill in the world... and that (along with DWade.. who DOES have the heart) will carry him to a chip or two, or three.. or four... no question...

But whereas Jordan just completely snuffed out all of the other incredible talent around him (Stockton and Malone... Barkley... Ewing... Reggie... NO RINGS while Jordan was playing), I wouldn't be surprised is Rose or Durant snuck in there for a ring or two DURING Lebron's run. They have more heart than Lebron, and at some key point, THAT is going to matter.

I just wrote a bunch more than I planned on... but fu*k it. Read it if you want.
