Africans have a reason not to like certain Afro-Americans. If you were a citizen of one of African's nations, can you really see yourself watching a Gucci Mane or Wocka video and saying to yourself, "wow, these guys make me proud"? NOPE

Truth is, most rappers are so busy kissing up to their "counterparts" they forget their roots. They forget who they are and refuse to acknowledge it. With all the "positive" talk Jay has had about his daughter and not using the word bi*ch outta respect. What ever happen to the word n*gga? Isn't she also black? I guess he didn't want to remind the world of his consciousness.....status quo
How many white people do you know that go to Europe to "discover themselves" and get in touch with their roots?

This roots sh*t is stupid as fu*k.

Africans in Africa have nothing against African Americans. In fact, most Africans embrace anything American or outside of their culture. It's rather Africans who come to America and keep a distance from African Americans due to the African American way of lifestyle and violence. But that goes for every group of people that comes to the US, not just Africans.

WE was taught to hate ourselves right? How to make a slave anyone? Same reason why str8 hair and light/white skin is the standard of beauty....how you pose to keep a people underfoot if they feel they on your level and or beyond? You tell them they suck, this look, not your look is what is in, etc....you get that crabs in a barrel mentality in effect n the chips fall into place.....thus the chips is what Nas is speaking on! I heard some of the same sh*t that u would hear at a Klan rally from Africans bout Africian Americans n vice versa....wonder why no one give a fu*k bout they own?!

They don't care about you...Africans are really loving people, i mean not the ones doing war and sh*t, but the real people...take a plane, go over there i bet you will be amazed...
When it comes to afro-american, i bet they don't like them once they're living in the US, and they got good reasons for not loving them from my point of view...i've heard black dudes and girls saying the most racist/ignorant sh*t i've never heard about african people...

I don't get what Nas is tryna get at here. African-Americans and African's ain't exactly got a sh*tload in common. I'm a whiteboy from England and through my grandad (from Mauritius) i'm probably closer linked to Africa than some African-Americans .

Africa's a scary a.ss place though lmao.
Coming from a US resident ok, but from an European guy, really ?
There's nothing scary about Africa, go to Senegal and you'll love the place and the people i'm pretty sure...
