you make it seem like i said fu*k her or something.
I said she was overrated but it happens when ever someone dies young.
Personally she wasn't that good of a singer didn't have much range at all but she would of fallen off just like ciara and ashanti.
the only reason she ever became famous was because r kelly was the biggest name in rnb at the time and he cosigned her fully
no she wouldn't you only saying that cause she dead.
if she was alive wouldn't nobody give a fu*k about her
WTF are you talking about??? She is talked about because she was great... People fell in love with her style... Which is why you had artists come after her mocking it... Only great artists influence artists in the future... Like you named Ciara and Ashanti... Who do you think these artists influences were especially Ciara???
If it was only because she died young then "Left Eye" would be talked about at the same level and she isn't... It has more to do than her death... People loved Aaliyah before she died and everyone thought she was going to the top... It wasn't one thing about her it was multiple things... Her style, dancing, singing and of course production by Timbaland gave her a perception of music that the world had yet seen...
Of course she would have fell off and been less relevant nowadays... Michael Jackson is like the only artist i know who remained relevant over two decades and that is really because he only dropped like one or two albums per decade... Aaliyah was making music since like 91... All artists become that way... Very few i mean probably less than 5 in history continue making music at the same level over decades... As years pass different generations usher in different types of interests... Any great artist you can name in any genre of music becomes irrelevant after a certain time period if they are still alive... Only after they die or controversy happens does their music become relevant again...
