sh*t is funny in retrospect and seeing a picture like this, but it really isnt funny when you are the person having to do that. sh*t happens shouldnt feel any shame about that though.
with that being said, been there done that. i was in a four family though, the basement had landlord payed electric, we had to run two cords from top to bottom. landlord didnt get upset because we only used it for tv, lights, and sh*t like that. couldnt do sh*t about the oven or fridge though, neighbors let us use there fridge and we also bought to big a.ss coolers. sh*t was the start of a terrible time in my life, but it didnt do sh*t but make me stronger. took two weeks to get the power back on.
normally you can talk duke into giving you time even though your late, but the whole block must have been struggling at that point cause that day they shut hella ppls sh*t off right within 500 feet of each other. they even cut the sh*t off to two houses from the fu*king power box on the pole. funniest sh*t ever was two days after that sh*t the people who stayed in that house got a stupid big a.ss ladder and tried to turn it back on, but it didnt work.
