While I do believe that these next wave of CPUs will move the marker onward for nice battery life, you're hilariously missing the mark if you a.ssume I'm looking at the # of cores
. It's called CPU efficiency which is clearly noted in the article. Hint: It's the reason why we was able to go from 533Mhz chips that was battery hogs to 1Ghz chips that can last a good day or two in the first place
Also the 700Mhz white space refers to wireless possibilities, not the onboard processing & efficiency of the hardware... nearly mutually exclusive subjects.
