the reason the white dude stepped on the flag wasn't to make a political comment, it was to disrespect the marine and what he spent years of his life dedicated to...went through boot camp hell, probably served in iraq, had to give up his family without guarantee he was gonna see them again....believe me, I'm well aware of how mindless blind patriotism and militarism is in the US but steppin on that flag was more than sh*tting on the country, it was sh*tting on everything that marine sacrificed (even if it was a pointless sacrifice for a pointless war in the service of a government that doesn't give a fu*k about you...etc.etc)

just like that slim dunkin bullsh*t, this was about respect...except this time the marine wasn't stupid enough to go grab a gun. I'm not gonna sh*t on him for it

white boy wearing a durag and his bullsh*t "keep talking about that sh*t you always talk about and that sh*t that you talk about" rhymes on the other hand?

America wouldn't be America w/o the original African slave population , so black people have every right to be proud of America since they contributed a great deal to it's foundation and successes.. unfortunately it was in exploitative measures, but we are in a new age where black people have become more acculturated and a.ssimilated, so seeing things like this really shows how times are changing. Let black Americans be proud of the the only thing they know... America..

And blacks are still 2nd class citizens. But to be honest, this really isn't about the way blacks are treated here as much as it's about America and all of it's bullsh*t, made up ideals about 'freedom' and the tyranny that's committed all over the world by 'us'. White people should feel the same way, but I know why most don't.
yah but they only gained full equal rights in the mid 60's, so that wasn't too long ago. As a new generation ages, we slowly see more improvement, including the way the 'other' views the black minority. Obviously, racism will always exist but it is substantially decreasing in comparison to what we saw before, I mean sh*t... not too long ago, black americans were tearing up cities rioting in the 90's LOL..

Racism is and has always been just as prevalent as it was in the 60's, mostly because of that sh*t being passed down to the next generation through family and the media. You want proof? Check out any Yahoo news article that can even remotely relate to minorities, especially blacks. Not sure what that last comment about the riots is for, but it definitely wasn't just blacks.
The reason why I brought up the riots is to show how the black community has changed in its view towards America, and how underlying tensions are no longer nowhere near AS prevalent as they were before. Gang culture is slowly dying down, which helps the image of blacks in society.. there are so many elements which seem minuscule, but actually contribute a great deal to the bigger picture... believe me man, all these kids who were influenced by hiphop are now becoming adults and the future of America, and they are more in touch w/ black culture and view blacks in an equal manner, and that attitude will pass down to their kids. You're going to see a new generation of America soon man, times will change right infront of your eyes, and mainstream media/music has a lot to do w/ that.. it's helped black people

This is the slave mentality speaking. For you to claim that you're a 'black man' and actually think that your citizenship gives you the right to say what you want instead of it being a God-given right is hilarious. You're a fu*king idiot.
yea i have slave mentality for not giving a fu*k about f!ghting some invisible enemy. I didn't say it wasn't a God-given right but your dumb a.ss is complaining as if their aren't any countries who TAKE that god-given right away from you. There are governments in other countries encourage people to k!ll their female daughters, allow r*pe, and speaking out against the authority leads to death or imprisonment. BUT you wanna complain because America isn't all perfect. Get the fu*k outta here man you are crying over nothing. YES we have our problems, let's try to fix those but denouncing yourself as an American and calling other people who are patriotic "house n*ggas" isn't going to do anything. IF you can't understand why we love our country you're an idiot. Fly yourself into a third world country and complain some more about how bad we have it in the USA.

In that whole paragraph, you failed to make any good points. In most of these other countries that you claim 'take' away the right to free speech, they burn that motherfu*ka to the ground and stand up for themselves. That doesn't happen here, although times are starting to change. To compare the U.S. to other countries and say 'well it's not that bad here' is foolish, especially when our 'rights' are being taken away on a day-to-day basis. very soon, there won't be any difference. I call you a house n*gga because guess what, you are one. At the least, you're a fu*king fool.
I disagree though.. Even though we witnessed the upheaval of the Arab revolution (which only started in 2011), there are still countless nations in the world that repress it's civilian population and restrict their freedoms.

And what makes that any worse than what happens in the U.S? Point blank, it's time to drop the whole freedom and democracy bullsh*t that America tries to push as it being the reason of being the greatest country on Earth. It's not true, and has never been true.
hey man, liberalism and capitalism are not ideologies that benefit all.. you want socialism? it doesn't always work to peoples benefits either.. like the dude said, at least americans have hte liberty to speak out against their nation. Do you know what Iran, China and Russia do to journalists who question their regimes? they k!ll them... and it's a reality. They also jail bloggers who speak out against their regime.. its no joke and it happens. People in Syria right now are being murdered daily.. they got syrian's who fled to lebanon trying to publicize the struggles for the rest of the world to see because they're unable to do it from syria..

you seriously think that every country has freedom of speech? Come on son there is no Utopia that's the point. Which one of our rights are being taken away on a day to day basis? I'd like to know what rights got you in such an uproar. Please don't post any shyt that hasn't been passed yet as in SOPA.

I didn't bring up socialism, capitalism, nor liberalism, so you're offbase with all of that. Secondly, many people are being arrested and brutalized for speaking their minds IN THIS COUNTRY. Might want to do some research on the 2004 Republic National Convention and Occupy Wall Street if you dispute that.

buddy all that sh*t is a joke.. those occupy wall street arrests are useless. They don't actually imprison them like you see in other nations. They just slap them w/ some charge and let them get back on the street.. you really are looking for the perfect world eh, you dreaming.. face reality.. there will never be a perfect democracy

If they are deemed to be terrorist, they can be held indefinitely which is bullsh*t anyway, because they haven't had a trial or been charged yet. Plus, having any charge on your record impacts your life no matter what it is, and from that point on, you're in the 'system'. And no, the world will never be perfect because humans aren't.
i'm pretty sure they don't even get a charge, unless they physically abuse someone or damage property.. the cops aren't going to be laying useless charges down in urban cities like oakland, new york and L.A. where they have enough sh*t to deal w/.. it's probably no different than some public intoxication sh*t where you get taken away and let out the next morning..

How am I being used? I knew what I was signing up for. I'm getting paid, getting my college education, mine & my families medical benefits, etc.. During those deployments I made a lot of money which I saved to buy my house. When I finish my degree I will get out & hopefully go FBI like I have planned. Everybody has different opinions & I respect that, I don't see the problem with what we decide to do. Now if we were busting our a.ss for the government for free then I understand. All I know is that I enjoy what I do, I have a secured job with a guaranteed paycheck every 1st & 15th, food on the table for my family, bills getting paid, family getting taken care of, I really don't see the huge problem.

Here's a quick tidbit. I'm a construction equipment supervisor. I don't deploy to these other countries to k!ll anybody, we go there to build & improve things. Have I ran into sticky situations where my adrenaline was rushing & I could have possibly lost my life out there or had to take somebody elses life? Yes. Have I lost friends out there? Yes.

You don't know how many of those people loved seeing us out there when we were fixing & improving their roads, building showers, repairing their culverts & their drainage which was previously flooding their towns, etc. Not all us in the military are "bad guys", Infantry, CAV & MPs do some questionable sh*t sometimes but that shouldn't reflect on what all of us do.
you're not understanding the point i'm conveying to you...like it's just completely going over your head..wtv "good" you do over there is completely irrelevant when you shouldn't even be there in the 1st place....if you broke into my house & offered me a glass of water & gave me vitamins that doesn't take away from the fact that you just committed an offense...are vitamin supplements & water good for me?..yes...does that give you a permission slip to do a home invasion & forcibly make me take them?..absolutely not...the same applies to your situation...you're in a country that you shouldn't be in & justify it by saying we did a. b. & c....etc...as if that somehow should make up for the initial reason you're there to begin with..

you're paying the bills cool..but at what cost? if I was selling babies on the black market to pedophiles & taking care of my family does that make what i'm doing any less wrong?...bro what you're doing over there isn't any less criminal....the economy & the job market are in the toilet right now...if a Russian statesman had an issue with how Obama was handling sh*t on this side would that give them justification to come over here with a military to "fix sh*t"?..bear in mind for every "good soldier" there'd be a bad one that would k!ll one of our citizens, maim them...rape our women...etc...

let me ask you something when Obama signs the NDAA which gives the go ahead for U.S citizens [aka the ppl you're being paid to serve & protect their freedoms] to be detained indefinetely are you going to enforce it?...being the good soldier that you are & all....

you say you know full well what you were doing when you signed up...? really tho?....so even after everything expressed by your fellow ppl

you still signed on the dotted line huh? that makes you the worst of the worst then...
