Kobe Bryant's wrist injury will never heal :sadto: (pic)

[pic - click to view]

Results show that Bryant has a torn lunotriquetral ligament. The lunotriquetral ligament is a band of tissue that connects bones in the wrist.

"These are tiny little ligaments that keep the multiple bones in your wrist together so that you have movement as well as stability," Dr. Robert Klapper, an orthopaedic surgeon at Cedars-Sinai Medical Group, told 710 ESPN Los Angeles' "Max & Marcellus Show."

When asked if whether he'll play on Sunday Kobe responded, "Of course I'll play. The ligaments are gone, not torn, gone. There is no healing to be done".

got the same injury...will hurt like sh*t some days. Kobe is a beast and will get used to the pain. He will be doing alot of heat therapy and acupuncture plus stim but the sooner he treats it the easier it will be down the road to adjust.

nah I punched a wall halftime at a playoff game thinking it was padded. Finished the game still could shoot like Bean but I was finished after. Never got it rehabbed still tried to play and it doesn't get worse its just a f!ght thru the pain.

Then it's a good thing its his hand and not his knee's supporting body weight. He should be fine since the adrenaline he probably gets from the game will probably help him ignore the pain. I guess he'll now have an excuse for when he has his poor shooting nights.

it does affect it but not to the point where he can't bend it in any direction. More so he will have pain when he applies pressure to it and it will feel weak as hell. So he will have to be crazy careful landing on it again becuz all of the stress will now be on the ligaments on the opposite side. He is fine becuz he has the best treatment available.

yea yea exactly. He just has to be careful when getting up off the ground and landing. He will still be able to shoot with range, there will be bad night of pain though. Again Kobe is tough and these guys got the best trainers available I expect him to play Christmas but he definitely will facilitate.

Other superstars would be leaving to go to the back to be evaluated by medical staff in wheelchairs than eventually come back....
