Hold That said:
If I was the Hornets I'd either trade him somewhere else (i.e Clippers), or just let his a.ss walk.. Nothing the Knicks can offer will amount to sh*t anyway, so it would be no different from letting Paul walk for nothing.
I swear, why can't people realize that noone is going to trade for a player and give up valuable a.ssets for someone that WONT sign an extension. Who will trade for CP3 and risk him not signing an extension? The Nets were desperate when they traded for Deron but they know they are moving to Brooklyn, a new arena, and the allure of NY (albeit, still being the stepsons of New York City basketball
CP3 has all the leverage. Unless he decides to sign with someone else, it's trade to the Knicks and get something for nothing, or watch him walk in the off-season. Basically NO would be playing chicken to see if he is willing to leave 15-20 million on the table. CP3 would make that up playing in New York, and if they will a 'chip in NY, they getting paid!
