Stern threatening to void contracts, many players wishing he would

Previously, Stern had said if the union moved to decertify that he would void all player contracts, a move that surely would result in more litigation.

"There's no way the league wants 450 free agents," one agent said.

small markets would really have a problem on their hands if that happened. you think kevin love's going back to minnesota, if his sh*t gets voided? image

On the flip-side, the Pistons would lose out on the young talent they imploded their team for. Yeah, Ben, Maxiell, and Charlie would be gone, but who the hell is coming back? Scary sh*t.

contraction is one of the issues contributing to the lockout. stern wants to drop player BRI in the event that teams get cut. probably so he can pay off the owners whose teams get the boot. @ getting paid to go out business

why would players want this...wouldnt this mean lower salaries with the lower bri that would be in place after a cba is agreed upon (whether its 52/50/47 percent)

i get that, but what i dont get his how much they expect to make when management already thinks they are overpaying players, are trying to change the system to make sure that no longer happens, and they will have less money from bri because no matter what they agree upon it seems like it will be a far cry from the previous 57%

not all owners are making a big deal about the player's money. my guess is that the players wouldn't mind having a payment system sorta like baseball, where if owners wanna get wild with their money, they can (ie. dolan, cuban). or if they don't, they won't (ie. jordan, sterling)

stuff like BRI negotiations wouldn't even exist anymore, so it's a moot point. salaries would most likely be based on whatever a particular owner is willing to pay
